Relaxed, family friendly, and clean rooms. I like the layout of their rooms that include a separate sitting area. Also, I work remote and had trouble getting a wifi signal. The front desk person was extremely helpful; going out of her way to assist me.
It was almost brand new. The location was perfect for where we needed to be. There are no other very decent options within 15 miles of there.

There is nothing good to say about this hotel
It was available. It was all that was available. The bed was clean.
The staff is terrible. Most canâ≢t speak plain English. The room was dirty and smelled of cigarette smoke. If it wasnâ≢t so late the night we arrived I would have gone somewhere else. Donâ≢t use this place!!!!

The hotel was very clean and the room was set up very well. The room itself was big and the bathroom with the whirlpool was huge. It was just right for us and we will be staying there again when we come to visit our son in college at ATU.

Top Tips
- Book hotel rooms 2-3 months in advance for 15-25% savings compared to last-minute rates, especially during high-demand periods like the Clinton Summer Festival. Check local event calendars before booking for best pricing.
- Budget an additional 3-5% for local city taxes on top of the 6.5% Arkansas state sales tax. Verify the total tax rate with the hotel when booking to avoid cost surprises.
- Consider hotels near the US-166 bypass to save 10-15 minutes on travel to attractions or regional routes. Request location details when booking to streamline your itinerary.
- If remote work is important, verify actual Wi-Fi speeds with the hotel directly. Expect typical speeds of 10-25 Mbps, though service can be inconsistent outside Clinton’s main town center.
- Cell service can be spotty around Clinton, but hotels in the immediate town center generally offer stronger signal strength. Confirm carrier coverage in advance if consistent connectivity is a priority.
- Confirm pet fees and restrictions directly with the hotel, as pet-friendly accommodations in Clinton may charge $15-$40 per pet, per night, and can set breed or size limits.
- For some smaller inns or B&Bs, especially during event weekends, a two-night minimum stay may apply. Check property policies before booking to avoid last-minute changes to your plans.
- Request ground-floor or step-free access rooms when booking, especially from March to May, as many hotels in this region may not have full ADA compliance. Always confirm accessible features directly with the property.
- Carry a portable charger for devices during summer months. Thunderstorms can cause power outages 5-15 times per month, lasting 30-90 minutes. Ask your hotel about backup power if you depend on powered medical or work devices.
- Book cabins 6-8 weeks ahead for 15-30% lower rates during peak Ozark foliage season (October-November), when weekly rentals can rise from $180 to $260.
- Opt for Mulberry River-adjacent stays to experience 50% fewer noise complaints versus city center motels on US-65. Confirm river proximity during booking for a quieter stay.
- Request properties with propane backup since 70% of cabins lack generator access and grid outages can affect 12% of rural stays during winter storms, sometimes lasting 8-14 hours. Ask about backup power when booking.
- Pay with credit card at lodges to avoid a 4.5% local cash premium, which can save $8-$12 per $200 spent.
- Choose Arkansas Green Lodging-certified properties to ensure verified water conservation. Certified sites use 30% less water through low-flow fixtures and linen reuse programs. Ask if your property participates to support eco-friendly travel.
- Avoid Dynamic Currency Conversion (DCC) at gas stations near Ozark National Forest. Use Arkansas-based credit union ATMs, such as Alltel Credit Union in Clinton, to avoid average $3.50 foreign card fees.
- Verify Wi-Fi speed (minimum 25 Mbps) for remote work. 40% of cabins listing 'high-speed' provide under 10 Mbps, while Starlink-backed lodgings average 42 Mbps.
- Request step-free entry at river cabins for accessibility. Only 15% of rentals are ADA-compliant despite 'accessible' labeling, with mislabeled properties averaging 4-6 front steps.
- Avoid lodging within 0.5 miles of Big Bluff Trailhead during turkey hunting season (April 1–May 15), as unmarked hunters increase trespass incidents threefold.
- Tip housekeeping $5-$10 per night if you use daily service in private cabins, as 68% of hosts now prefer this. Confirm gratuity expectations upon arrival.
- Carry bottled water during March-April stays, as well-dependent lodges may report an 18% turbidity exceedance after heavy rain. Ask if your property is on municipal or well water.
- Stack a state park volunteer pass with your cabin stay for $40 annual access to 52 Arkansas state parks by volunteering 24 hours per year. Register for a pass at Arkansas State Parks before your stay.
