Hampton Inn Birmingham/Mountain Brook

paidfull price for HamptonInn(usually a standard).under construction putty in bathroom sink, sack breakfast, bed not comfortable as Hamptoninn usually is. this hotelshould not have been listed as a normal hampton!should have been posted under construction

The rate was what I was looking for.

It was under renovation. We couldn't get the air to work well. It smelled old. Things didn't seem to be renovated well.

The location

Yes! The hotel should not be open in the condition it is in, decrepit! There were no antiseptic wipes in the fitness room and no tea at breakfast or anywhere. Manager lied to me about both.

The whole hotel needs refreshing. The door to our room did not fit the frame, and was difficult to open without using my shoulder to apply force to it. Couldn't close the door without slamming it.

They were very helpful and friendly and the location was excellent!!

The hotel needs a renovation. The furniture, flooring and hotel overall is just old.

just some remodelling being done on the first floor and the ac seemed off there but our floor and the lobby floor was fine and cool

The room was very nice. The staff that checked us in are the nicest I have met yet at any hotel.

It took a very long time to get to the one waffle maker. Maybe add a second one?

The hotel staff was wonderful and accommodating.

The hotel was dirty. The popcorn ceiling in out room was coming off. And thought pet friendly, there was no grassy space for our dogs. The space available was poorly lit and I didnt feel comfortable walking out at night.

The automatic door opens even when someone went for coffee so lounge area was chilly. It also prevented us from ever having a really hot cup of coffee.

The room was so gross I asked for a full refund and went to a different hotel. There was mold on the walls, the blinds were falling apart. It was extremely dirty, like no one had paid any attention to it for several years.

There was nothing, except the location, that I DID like about it. It is a wonder that it is still in operation.

The staff was especially good, one male in particular but I didn¿t get his name.

This hotel was picked primarily because it was pet friendly but the website did not mention a pet FEE. When checking in or out the fee was not mentioned. When I got home there was a $75 FEE +tax. Way too much! But mostly I resent not being told about it.

I thought I lost my iPad. the cleaning staff at the hotel went through all the sheets trying to find my iPad that actually I had overlooked in my luggage !amazing place to stay highly recommend.

They gave me another room when the room flooded with water.
