Homewood Suites Birmingham Downtown Near UAB

The size of the suite, the breakfast options on real plates, and the excellent location

The suite size was very large with beautiful decor and very clean. There were many nice restaurants near by. Very accessible to interstates.

The roll-in shower needed better drainage, as the water ran all over the floor. The noise level was almost unbearable. Sirens/ ambulance all night... Likely due to proximity to medical center. Drag races almost every day.

The spaciousness of the room, the security, the location and the food were all exceptional.

Not really anything.

Nothing my room was not ready had to wait 1 hour after check in time. Staff was slow. Location was dirty and dangerouswont be back.

The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, there was a refrigerator, the AC was so wonderfully cold, the staff was super friendly, and the breakfast was pretty good both mornings.

We knew going in that we would probably hear club music late because of the location, and honestly the AC fan muffled it 99%. At 2:36 am, people leaving the clubs were revving loud engines and doing burnouts that continued for probably 10-12 minutes.

Room was very spacious and clean; free breakfast and free Internet were great.

Only negative was the response I received from the clerk when I called to let the hotel know I would be checking in after 9 p.m. She seemed exasperated that I had called and responded, "Is that all you need?"

Room was clean, plenty of room and shower and bathroom was excellent. Very good choices for breakfast , especially hot foods available for such a freezing cold morning.

Everything was great! The cleanliness of the room, the size of the room. The staff were friendly and check in was a breeze. The breakfast was top notch, this coming from a person who usually skip breakfast. I love the location, right near UAB.

My only complaint is I wish the pillows on the bed were firmer. The view of downtown was beautiful. The hotel is also a few blocks down from Publix grocery store and plenty of restaurants.

Love the atmosphere, love the space of the room. Loved the breakfast.

The homeless population is not ok, and they apparently give them coffee or food so there were a few of them waiting inside the first set of doors. It made me very uncomfortable and I was uneasy about my kids being there. I was very uneasy about that.

The staff were so nice and accommodating.

The only let down was the pool was not as clean. I was looking forward to enjoying the pool as it rained for most of my stay. There was some unidentified thing at the bottom of the pool and water was very hazy.

Spacious and clean rooms. We had a Couple of great nights sleep due to the super comfortable beds. Friendly and helpful staff (the best I've encountered). Love the full kitchen along with all utensils. Overall best hotel experience

Nothing major but larger TV and cable channels would be icing on the cake,

The staff was very friendly and we enjoyed hanging out in the lobby/bar.

Some of the items to purchase in the lobby 'store' are a bit pricey.

Parking was awful elevator broke and getting room cleaned and towels was not good

the room was not cleaned well enough. The trash from previous guest had not been taken out and I am fairly certain one of the beds had not had its sheets changed. I was totally disgusted by the room and the staff, of course due to covid, could not help

THE ROOM AND BREAKFAST

POOL WAS NO HEATED AND GYM WAS NO WORKING PLUS PARKING WAS CHARGE WHEN I PICK AND OPTION TO FREE PARKING INCLUDED

It was very clean

It was very pricey and then when we get there I had to pay another $200 deposit and $15 a day for parking that was not explained when I called and ask questions about the room. I had to ask for more towels and bathroom stuff for the price I paid it should

Great location, clean and nice staff

There is a hidden charge of $15 for me to self park my vehicle away from the hotel. I¿ve never experienced a charge like this. To me it feels like a dirty trick and I won¿t be returning to this hotel.

Very convenient from the location I needed to be at and was able to enjoy the pool

Not having enough towels when needed

The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the outside fire pit and grill.

Perfect location, gigantic, clean room, and good breakfast.
