Beautiful hotel, very nice room, lovely setting.
The Osprey totally surpassed my family's expectations. This hotel is located in an area that is very manicured, and nature engulfs you. Our hotel room was one of the largest we've ever stayed in, and it took us by surprise. Beaver Creek is enchanting!

Old, historical hotel with pleasant, upgraded rooms and a eloquent, beautiful lobby.
It was great but the hotel is old so the insulation was not the best. My girlfriend was cold but I was fine. I did have to hear her complain an awful lot though...

The motel breakfast was delicious. It was a short distance (within walking distance) to the hot springs. There were several areas on the motel grounds for children to explore. I would highly recommend this motel for families.

Clean and great location
There are, let's say 4 Tier-levels, D through A (D being truck-stop-type Super 8's and A being St Regis/Waldorf Astoria, C being Choice Hotels and B being the Hilton Garden Spots, Embassy Suites). This is an A; probably a 7/10 at that level. Excellent!
Ease of Parking.

Top Tips
- Reserve accommodations 3-6 months in advance for ski season (mid-December to March) or busy summer weekends (July and August), as occupancy often exceeds 80% and rates can increase by 30% or more. Early booking is especially important near Vail and Beaver Creek where options fill quickly.
- Arrange ground transportation before arriving at Eagle County Regional Airport (EGE), since hotels in the immediate area are limited and Vail or Beaver Creek resorts are 30-45 minutes east. Private shuttles like Colorado Mountain Express are recommended, as ride-share prices and availability can fluctuate during peak periods.
- Altitude at EGE is about 6,600 feet (2,010 m). Hydrate with at least 2 liters of water daily before and during your trip, limit alcohol intake upon arrival, and plan a light activity day to acclimate. Over-the-counter altitude remedies are available at local pharmacies if symptoms persist.
- Include daily resort fees (typically $15 to $50) and Colorado's lodging tax (up to 12.4%) in your budget, as these are added to most nightly stays. Request a detailed bill breakdown at check-in to clarify all charges and amenities.
- For winter visits, confirm amenities like ski-in/ski-out access, heated boot storage, and ski valets — many hotels in Vail and Beaver Creek offer these. Families may prioritize properties with on-site pools, kitchenettes, or supervised kids’ clubs, while business travelers should check for conference rooms and high-speed Wi-Fi.
- Hotels in Vail, Beaver Creek, and Avon typically offer scheduled shuttles to lifts and village centers at 10-20 minute intervals. ECO Transit buses connect nearby towns for as little as $4 per ride — check schedules in advance, as frequency may change during off-peak periods.
- Prepare for variable mountain weather by packing base layers, waterproof jackets, and insulated gear for winter. UV rays are 25-30% stronger at altitude, so use SPF 30+ sunscreen, sunglasses with UV protection, and lip balm with SPF every day, even when it is cloudy.
- Contact onsite concierge or front desk teams for reservations at dining venues, advice on local events, and bookings for lift tickets or guided tours. Many top-rated restaurants book out a week or more in advance, so plan ahead for popular spots.
- Standard U.S. tipping applies: plan for $15 per bag for bell staff, $15 per night for housekeeping, and $15 for valet each time your vehicle is retrieved. Shuttle drivers assisting with luggage or longer (15+ minute) transportation typically receive $15 to $30.
- You will need a current government-issued photo ID (passport for international guests) and a credit card to check in — expect an additional hold for incidentals. Review hotel policies on quiet hours, smoking restrictions, and occupancy limits when you arrive.
