Layout of the room was well planned. It had plenty of storage for clothing, great lighting and bathroom design. Also the breakfast buffet was exceptional ! The variety of food, breads, fruits & they have the BEST orange marmalade jam I have ever had!

Top Tips
- Book your hotel several months in advance if visiting during Bacolod’s MassKara Festival in October, as hotel occupancy frequently reaches 100% during this period. Confirm your reservation and cancellation policy before payment.
- Choose hotels with airport shuttle services to Bacolod-Silay Airport (about 15-20 km from downtown), reducing transit times by 30-45 minutes versus public transport. Verify shuttle operating hours at least one day before arrival.
- Explore authentic Negrense cuisine such as Chicken Inasal or Piaya by requesting local dining recommendations from the front desk or concierge. Top hotels regularly maintain curated lists of nearby restaurants within 500 m to 2 km.
- Present a government-issued ID at check-in; foreign guests must show a passport. Carry Philippine pesos, as smaller hotels may not process international credit cards, and cash transactions up to ₱5,000 are common for walk-ins.
- Ask about Wi-Fi speed and generator backup before booking, as power disruptions occasionally occur citywide. Leading hotels in Bacolod offer backup systems that maintain air conditioning, elevators, and internet during outages.
- Clarify local transport options - ride-hailing apps like Grab connect major hotels with the airport and malls for ₱300–₱500. For short rides under 2 km, negotiate tricycle fares beforehand and confirm payment in cash.
- Acknowledge local tipping practice: bellhops and housekeepers are typically tipped ₱50–₱100 per service (roughly $15). Tipping is not obligatory but appreciated for notable assistance.
- Review your reservation for extra fees such as local environmental or parking charges, which can add ₱100–₱300 per night at some properties. Request a fee breakdown at reception upon arrival.
- Prioritize hotel location based on your itinerary. Hotels along Lacson Street place you within 300 m of main dining and nightlife, while those near SM City Bacolod offer direct access to shopping and transit hubs.
- Pack light, breathable clothing for Bacolod’s average 30°C daytime temperatures. Equip yourself with sunscreen, sunglasses, and a hat, as humidity often exceeds 80% in outdoor areas.
- Use the in-room safe for your passport, electronics, and cash, especially when attending crowded events. Most hotels provide safes with user-set PIN codes; contact reception if you need assistance with operation.
- Respect local quiet hours: noise should be kept low after 22:00 in hotel corridors and public spaces. Most full-service hotels enforce this for guest comfort, so ask staff about designated event or lounge areas if needed.
- Plan your budget: mid-range hotels charge ₱1,500–₱3,000 (approx. $15 to $30) per night, while 4- to 5-star options range from ₱3,000–₱6,000 (approx. $15 to $30). Rates peak during citywide festivals; check cancellation policies before booking.
- Save local emergency contacts in your phone, including Police (911) and Tourist Police (+63 34 432 1289). Some hotels post these numbers in guest directories or on the back of room doors for quick access.
