It was a big surprise to find a well maintained beautiful hotel in such a rural area. Wished we could have stayed longer mainly to use the pool and walk around exploring. Laundry facilities available with in the apartment, ideal. Highly recommended.

The location was great, close enough to walk to the beach and downtown but far enough away for quiet at night. The rooftop bar/pool was nice too.
It was clean, quiet, nice.

Top Tips
- From Alicante–Elche Airport (ALC), official taxis reach the city center in 15-25 minutes for €20–€30 (approx. $21–$31 USD); price depends on time of day and traffic. You can also take the C-6 airport bus for frequent and lower-cost service to downtown; check for seasonal schedule changes after 22:00.
- Book your hotel several months ahead for Hogueras de San Juan (mid-June) or summer (June-September) when city-center and beachfront hotels fill quickly and rates rise. Compare rates between online travel agencies and hotel websites—direct bookings often include free cancellation or added extras.
- Check that your room has working air conditioning for summer stays (June-September), as temperatures often exceed 30°C (86°F). Request a sea-facing or courtyard room to enjoy cooler air or reduce street noise, especially near nightlife.
- Be prepared to show a valid photo ID (passport or EU ID) for each guest at check-in, as required by Spanish law. The Valencian Community collects a tourist tax of €0.50–€2 (approx. $0.50–$2 USD) per person, per night, which hotels add to your bill.
- Tipping in Alicante is modest; leave €1–€2 (approx. $1–$2 USD) per bag for porters or per day for housekeeping if you appreciated the service. At restaurants, a 5-10% tip is customary for exceptional service but is not required.
- Request a higher-floor or courtyard-facing room if you want quiet, especially near nightlife areas like El Barrio or the Explanada. Street noise in the old quarter can last past midnight in summer.
- Store valuables in your in-room safe and use caution in crowded areas such as markets, promenades, and on public transport. Pickpocketing can occur in tourist hubs, so only carry essentials outside.
- Pack sunscreen, a hat, and a refillable water bottle for strong sun from May to September. Bring a Type C or F plug adapter for Spain’s 230V power supply. If visiting in winter (December-February), include a light jacket for cooler mornings and evenings.
- Dinner service in Spain often starts at 20:30 or 21:00; restaurants open late. Quiet hours in hotels and residential areas typically begin around 22:00 and last until 8:00, so keep noise to a minimum during these times.
- If renting a car, check your hotel's parking options and costs in advance, as downtown onsite parking is limited and often comes with a nightly fee. Pre-book your rental car at Alicante–Elche Airport for the widest vehicle selection.
- For business trips, confirm reliable high-speed Wi-Fi and request a speed test if needed. Ask about meeting rooms, business amenities, and proximity to the train station or main highways.
- Traveling with family? Reserve connecting or family rooms, a crib, or highchair in advance. In summer, pick hotels with a pool or near Playa de San Juan; check if lifeguards and pool towels are provided during your stay.
- Solo travelers benefit from staying at well-reviewed hotels in central areas like the Explanada, Postiguet Beach, or Plaza de Luceros for safety and convenience. Use the front desk for trusted restaurant and transit recommendations; English is commonly spoken in main hotels.
- Ask your hotel's reception or concierge team for local recommendations on dining, transport, and events. They can assist with Mercado Central food tours, sunset viewpoints, or current tram schedules to area beaches like Playa de San Juan.
- If you require accessibility, confirm step-free access, elevator dimensions, and room maneuverability before booking. Some historic hotels in Alicante’s old town lack elevators or have narrow stairs; request full details before reserving.
