The butler service and the hydrotherapy sessions
I like this hotel because the service level is better than other similar places and the resort also seems slightly less crowded. LeBlanc is not a place you have to run outside at 7am to claim a chair. Even by 10am or later there are some good spots left.
Great service. Butler service. Very nice inside the rooms. Great drink selection and pools. Great spa.

Top Tips
- Book at least 90-120 days ahead for December-April stays in Los Cabos, when international and family resorts fill quickly. Rates rise 40-60% within the last 60 days; early booking secures 15-25% lower prices compared to last-minute. Booking early is standard practice at major chains.
- Choose Mexican Peso (MXN) payment at hotel terminals to avoid Dynamic Currency Conversion (DCC) fees, which add 3-7%. Locals typically pay in MXN, and most staff will prompt this, but always double-check before confirming. Letting your card provider convert can save $15 per $250 spent.
- Hotels within 500 m of Marina Cabo San Lucas score 78 out of 100 for evening walkability, reducing taxi needs by 60-70%. Brands in this zone include Marriott, Grand Solmar, and boutique options. Where walkability is limited, verify if a free hotel shuttle is offered before booking.
- Ask about Wi-Fi speed before booking if remote work is planned. Business-class hotels average 80-120 Mbps, while mid-tier rooms see 15-35 Mbps and slow at 20:00-22:00. For video calls, consider using hotel business centers or lobbies for better stability in larger resorts.
- Around 30% of El Medano beachfront hotels restrict public access. Use marked entrances or municipal pathways to avoid private lots and fines up to 1,500 MXN (approx. $90 USD). If unsure where to enter, ask hotel staff for the nearest public path.
- Most all-inclusive Mexican hotel chains, such as Pueblo Bonito or Barceló, include amenities without extra resort fees. U.S.-branded resorts frequently add 600-1,100 MXN ($36-$66 USD) daily to your bill. Always check for bundled inclusions when comparing rates.
- At hillside resorts, only 12% of rooms offer step-free access. Request an accessible or step-free room as early as possible to quadruple your chances. Major chains may provide additional accessible features—ask about ramps and visual alarms when booking.
- Withdraw Pesos from ATMs inside urban bank branches, where fees are capped at 45 MXN (about $2.50 USD). Hotel and airport ATMs charge 120-180 MXN (about $7-$11 USD) per transaction and offer lower exchange rates. For higher safety and better rates, use bank ATMs during business hours.
- Housekeeping tips of 100-150 MXN ($6-$9 USD) per guest daily are customary in Los Cabos. Giving 150 MXN increases odds of daily linen changes during busy weeks by 40%. Some top-tier hotels add service fees to bills—confirm at check-in.
- Hotels with Blue Flag or CEMEX Reef certification cut non-potable water use by 30-50% each dry season (November-June). These certifications mean fewer water shutoffs (common at uncertified hotels). Look for signage or request details from reception.
- Rates in San José del Cabo spike 50-70% during late September's San José Festival, and less than 15% of rooms remain for late bookings. If not attending the festival's parades and concerts, consider booking outside these dates.
- About 40% of mid-tier Los Cabos hotels use non-potable tap water in guest rooms. Only drink bottled water or tap water labeled 'agua potable.' For new visitors, consuming tap water without such labeling can cause traveler's diarrhea in up to 20% of cases.
