We liked almost everything - location is great, our room was nice, bed was big and comfortable, air conditioning was strong (which was needed because of how hot it was in HCMC), rooftop pool was nice, and the best part - free laundry!
Room was excellent, highest quality room we stayed at in Vietnam. It was clean, modern, and in great condition. Hotel location was central, and very walkable.

Overall good experience especially the nice and helpful staff
The staff was the best
I loved how the staff greeted us and directed us to our check-in on the top floor. The room was incredible and I believe had the best city skyline (day and night). The bathroom and everything to the accommodation was well worth it. THE FOOD WAS AWESOME

Great value for the money. Entire staff waiting to serve you. Especially the Bellhops. They were magnificent. Great central location and the free breakfast wasn’t too bad either. I would definitely stay there again.

Just walking distance to Ben Thanh Market but The Luxe Hotel offers reasonable prices. Air cocondition is working good. Staff is friendly.
Great location. Clean. The older man who works at security during the daytime is incredibly kind and helpful.
Great location. You can rent a motobike from the hotel. Decent breakfast. Staff was friendlier this time around (during my first stay 3 weeks earlier the front desk staff was not friendly... maybe because it was an evening check in).

I loved the staff, very polite and helpful. The cleaning staff was amazing as well.
The staffs were very friendly and attentive. They always smile and offer to help. When I needed fabric tapes for my cracked luggage, the staff was even using his own Shoppee account to order it for me and delivered to my room. Clearly outstanding serv.

Nothing! The staff was rude. Allowed fraud in the hotel. Allowed guest to be scammed.Did not welcome guest. For breakfast gave a box of bread with jam, did not offer voucher for breakfast. The staff charged my card for deposit and did not return the money
I booked the blue diamond hotel in Ho Chi Minh City. The new name is Sky Gem. The hotel was under construction. Lot of loud noise everyday. No Pool, No Spa No Gym. as advertised. You failed to mention this in your promotion. I want a full refund

Top Tips
- Rates often surge by 30-40% during Tet (Lunar New Year) or Formula 1 events. Book 4-6 weeks in advance to secure availability, especially at centrally located hotels. Confirm cancellation policies, as they may be restricted during these periods.
- Many budget hotels add a 10-15% service fee not shown in the base rate. Request a full price breakdown before confirming, and ask for written confirmation to avoid disputes at check-out.
- Street ATMs typically charge 2-3% less in fees than hotel lobby machines. Withdraw cash in daylight hours, and look for trusted local banks such as Vietcombank or Techcombank for added security.
- Request an upper-floor room, particularly in District 1, to minimize noise from street vendors and motorbikes below. Most hotels with elevators can accommodate this; verify elevator access for full mobility.
- Decline Dynamic Currency Conversion at payment and select Vietnamese Dong (VND) to avoid a 3-5% markup on your transaction. Confirm the currency setting before authorizing any card payments.
- Sign up for loyalty programs from major chains like Marriott and Accor to get member-only rates. Members often receive 10-15% discounts on bookings and benefits like late check-out; register before booking to qualify.
- Reliable Wi-Fi is available in many mid-range hotels, typically 10-20 Mbps. Check recent guest reviews or inquire with staff before arrival if you require stable internet for work or streaming.
- District 3 hotels frequently offer family amenities, such as playgrounds or kid-focused facilities, which are less common in District 1. Confirm availability of these services directly before you book if traveling with children.
- Carry 20,000-50,000 VND bills (approx $0.80-$2.00 USD) for tipping housekeeping or service staff; while tipping is appreciated in Ho Chi Minh City, it is not compulsory.
- Tap water in Ho Chi Minh City is not safe for drinking. Ask your hotel if complimentary bottled water is provided; most mid-range and upscale properties replenish 2-4 bottles per room daily.
- Ride-hailing apps like Grab and Be offer more reliable fares and availability than hotel taxis. Compare prices in-app to avoid overcharging, especially for airport transfers; a typical 7 km (4.3 mi) ride costs 120,000-180,000 VND.
- Discover panoramic city views at hotel rooftop bars like The Reverie Saigon or Hotel des Arts. A drink typically costs 200,000-300,000 VND (approx $8-$12 USD) and includes expansive city vistas; reserve a table at peak times for the best seating.
