VERY clean hotel! Seems mostly newly renovated. Breakfast was AWESOME! Pool area was great for kids! Access when driving east to west is THE BEST possible location. Staff were personable and friendly!
Staff was very helpful and a pleasure to deal with. Hotel breakfast was very good. We didn¿t use the pool but I¿m sure for a family it would¿ve been very good as well.
Our experience as a hotel was very good, the room was tidy, clean and cozy, the attendants were always very polite and humorous, it was a great stay, I recommend it.

Furniture was destroyed, blood on the phone and lamps, mold in the bathtub and so much more
Worst Experience Ever on my life. Rooms are nasty. Staff is uncooperative. Management never replied back. Above all else, room rates are not worth it. I emailed twice to the management to get a solution for the issues and they didn't reach out.
Absolutely nothing. The place is a bioHazard. Left after 45 mins

There is absolutely nothing to like about this hotel. The reviews on your site in no way at all reflect the true and dangerous nature of this dump.

Top Tips
- Book your Winnipeg hotel 3-6 weeks in advance for major events like Jets home games (October-April) or July festivals, as rates typically rise 15-40% and availability drops during these periods. Early booking helps secure your preferred hotel and room type.
- Stay in Winnipeg's Exchange District or The Forks to enjoy walkable access to Canada Life Centre and The Forks Market, both within a 10-20 minute walk (0.8-1.5 km). These neighborhoods offer a range of well-known hotel brands, cafés, and local attractions.
- Plan for airport transfers from James Armstrong Richardson International (YWG) to downtown hotels; the 8-12 km trip averages 12-20 minutes and costs CAD $25-$40 (approx. $18-$29 USD) each way by taxi or rideshare. Many major hotels offer local taxi partnerships; check with your accommodation for preferred rates.
- Expect winter temperatures of -20°C to -35°C with wind chill (December-February); selecting hotels with indoor lobby-to-street access and enclosed pathways can make travel safer and more comfortable. Allow an extra 15-30 minutes for transit during storms and confirm the hotel provides winter parking solutions like heated garages.
- Downtown hotels typically charge CAD $15-$35 (approx. $11-$26 USD) per night for on-site parking. In winter, prioritize accommodations with heated or covered garages and request parking details at booking if you have specific access needs.
- Discover local culture in neighborhoods like St. Boniface, 5-10 minutes by car from downtown, for Francophone cafés, or Corydon, a 10-15 minute walk to city center, known for its restaurants and nightlife. Hotels in these areas offer diverse experiences beyond standard downtown options.
- Accessible rooms may be limited in historic hotels, especially in the Exchange District. If you require roll-in showers, visual alarms, or step-free access, request an accessible room early and ask about elevator details before booking.
- Chain hotels downtown typically provide Wi-Fi speeds of 25-100 Mbps, suitable for remote work and video calls. If staying at boutique or heritage hotels, confirm measured Wi-Fi speeds directly to ensure productivity during your stay.
- Plan for Canadian tipping customs: 15-20% for restaurant service, CAD $2-$5 (approx. $1.50-$4 USD) per bag for bell staff. Resort fees are rare in Winnipeg, but always review your final hotel folio for local taxes and added fees.
- Pay in Canadian dollars at hotels and restaurants to avoid dynamic currency conversion fees. Major bank ATMs (RBC, TD, CIBC) are easy to find downtown and at The Forks, but note that your card issuer may assess a foreign transaction fee.
