The staff was absolutely fantastic! Everyone was very friendly and helpful with anything we needed. Parking was secure ($30/night). We brought our Shih Tzu, the pet fee unfortunately was $50/night. I get it but there’s nothing evidence we had him there.😁
Well they turned up the heat on the hot tub . . Amenities n food is why I pay the prices
The desk staff were wonderful and the Kick back time was very unexpected and we would have enjoyed if we didn't have other plans

In my 4 decades of travel this Americinn by Wyndham was one of the most pleasant weeklong stays at a motel. The staff was extraordinarily personable and professional. To be expected given this location is in Milwaukee the City of Gemutlichkeit!

Learn about the top neighbourhoods of Milwaukee
Once known more for its workingman's breweries, now-stylish downtown Milwaukee hosts the architecturally stunning, Santiago Calatrava-designed Milwaukee Art Museum and Miller Park, home of the Brewers. Each year, the annual lakefront Summerfest draws locals and out-of-towners in droves. Whatever the weather, ethnic and iconic eateries, time-honored hotels and the vendor-laden Milwaukee Public Market lend a sophisticated - yet decidedly unfussy - Midwestern vibe.
Found about five miles outside of Milwaukee's central business district, this area borders the General Mitchell International Airport and sits adjacent to the General Mitchell Air National Guard base. In this area, you'll find the Milwaukee Area Technical College Oak Creek campus, as well as a number of community parks conveniently located along I-94. Hop on I-94 and easily find your way to downtown Milwaukee attractions and entertainment.
Serving as the gateway between the fertile, glacial farmland of southeastern Wisconsin and the Port of Milwaukee, this lush region was named after the Potawatomi word for "firefly." Its retail district, found along Highway 100, is anchored by Mayfield Mall, while its Washington Highlands Historic District is marked by Craftsman, Prairie and Revival-style homes, shaded by old-growth trees on curving residential streets. Key sights include the Frank Lloyd Wright-designed Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church.

Top Tips
- Book at least 60-90 days before major events like Summerfest (late June to early July) or a Bucks home playoff game, as hotel rates can rise 50-150% on these weekends.
- Plan for Milwaukee Mitchell (MKE) Airport, located 9 miles south of downtown; a rideshare typically costs $30-$45 USD one way and takes 15-25 minutes off-peak.
- Budget for downtown hotel parking, which is typically $20-$40 USD per day for self-park and $35-$60 USD per day for valet; event nights can increase this to $40-$80 USD.
- Consider the Bay View neighborhood for potentially lower nightly rates and boutique options; it is 3-4 miles (10-20 minute drive) from downtown.
- Request a room facing away from Fiserv Forum or Henry Maier Festival Park when events are scheduled, as noise can occur until 10-11:30 PM within 0.3-0.5 miles of these venues.
- Confirm indoor or garage parking and snow clearance policies if traveling in winter, as this avoids overnight ticketing or towing during snow bans.
- Expect incidental credit card holds ranging from $50-$200 USD depending on the hotel and stay length; confirm the exact pre-authorization amount and release timing at check-in.
- When booking historic-conversion hotels, especially in the Third Ward, explicitly request ADA specifics like step-free routes or roll-in showers and get written confirmation of accessible room allocation.
- For remote work, choose downtown full-service hotels or chains where Wi-Fi speeds typically range from 25-100 Mbps; confirm upload speed if stable video calls are essential.
