Top Tips
- Plan for a 25-35 minute car transfer from Nashville International Airport (BNA) to central Lebanon. No regular public transit connects the two, so book a rental car or rideshare in advance. If you require accessible transport, most major car rental companies and some rideshare operators at BNA offer vehicles with ramp access or other accommodations; request these features ahead of time.
- Hotels around I-40 Exit 239 offer the quickest Nashville access with a 20-30 minute drive. Request a room away from the highway or on a higher floor to reduce noise. Note: If elevator access is important for mobility, confirm availability when booking, as some properties may only offer stairs for upper floors.
- Choosing accommodations on or near Lebanon Public Square allows you to walk 2-8 minutes (0.1-0.4 miles) to most downtown restaurants and bars, so you can skip driving for evening dining. Central sidewalks are mostly step-free, but check with your hotel about accessible routes to restaurants and bars if needed.
- Most suburban chain hotels in Lebanon provide free onsite parking. If staying downtown, confirm parking rules, which can be metered or municipal, especially during events. If you need accessible parking, most chain hotels offer designated spaces—ask about spot location if traveling with a mobility device.
- Book your hotel 2-4 weeks ahead for stays during the Wilson County Fair or major events at the Lebanon fairgrounds, as nearby properties fill quickly. Hotels closest to the fairgrounds typically sell out first; consider flexible cancellation rates for higher-demand nights.
- If you plan to visit Cedars of Lebanon State Park, choose accommodations on the southeast side of Lebanon to save 8-15 minutes of driving, since the park is 6-9 miles southeast of central Lebanon. If accessibility is a priority, confirm with your hotel and the park regarding accessible paths, entrances, and restrooms before booking.
- For business or remote work, ask hotels for their current Wi-Fi speed in Mbps. 'Free Wi-Fi' does not guarantee performance, so bring a mobile hotspot if you need stable video conferencing. Consider checking recent guest reviews for up-to-date Wi-Fi reliability.
- Request specific ADA features in advance when booking older or motel-style properties, since amenities like roll-in showers, grab bars, or visual alarms can vary. Older buildings may have limited step-free access, so clarify all required features before booking to ensure availability.
