The location of the hotel was perfect, smack dab in center city. The staff were warm and friendly and happy to help. The room itself was spacious and mostly clean although had some signs of wear, like there was water damage in the upper right corner of the room and some other marks of wear and tear.

Clean, tidy and tiny room and very comfortable bed. There was coffee, tea and sparkling water on tap available in the lobby. Everything met our expectations and we had a pleasant stay.

We had a problem when the room above was occupied by guests who were unbelievably loud stomping around the room and jumping etc. We complained and they quickly arranged a room for us where noise was not an issue. The front desk clerk was incredibly helpful and lovely!! The restaurant, Panaroma, is fantastic! Our best meal in Philly by far. Location is great.
Super clean, friendly staff, and the restaurant was phenomenal. I have back issues, and soft mattresses typically aggravate them, but the mattress in my room was super plush and didn't cause me any issues at all. I woke up feeling more rested than I have in years. The hotel isn't in a particularly quiet area, but I couldn't hear any outside noise in my room, and I was very pleasantly surprised.
Charming historic hotel with great service - my flight was severely delayed and I was at risk of a "no show" fee. The front desk was so helpful in ensuring that my arrival was smooth, even when I showed up exhausted. I appreciated the free coffee and muffins in the morning as I was pressed for time (given the late arrival of my plane). I hope on my next visit I will have more time to explore the neighborhood. My room was quite clean, in particular the bathroom. I liked the historic furnishings, which made me feel cozy.

Location excellent, clean & comfortable apartment
The room itself was perfect, clean, tidy, worked well. Amenities again were perfect. It takes a little while for the door to lock behind you with the particular type of lock so you do have to wait for a minute until the door locks once you’ve shut it which is annoying. This doesn’t happen in the Witherspoon. The Sonder team are extremely attentive and can’t do more for you. Using the app to request items is really easy. Hannah was very kind & helped me multiple times!

Staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. Our room was spacious and the kitchenette very well kitted out. The location is perfect for getting around center city, as its right next to Independence Hall.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The rooms had a classic elegance and charm that gave the place a timeless feel. Everything was exceptionally clean, and it’s clear the staff takes pride in maintaining the space. Outstanding service and quality of stay. One of the best hotels I've stayed at. But what stood out was the quality and warmth of every staff member who served us. All were absolutely stellar. Be it Patrick, Colleen, Katlyn and all others at the reception, housekeeping staff, the engineers, doorman etc. I have rarely experienced such a high level of hospitality and warmth in a hotel in the US. Kudos! Our university suite was superb! Such a fabulously equipped kitchenette too! Very large and spacious and so aesthetically done. Highly, highly recommended.

The Notary is in an excellent location in Philadelphia. Walkable to many tourist spots, like the Liberty Bell, Independence Hall, Betsy Ross House, etc. Our room was beautiful. It was large, with an extended sitting room that was very comfortable, almost like a living room in your room. We loved it. The staff were friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay at this hotel again when in Philadelphia.

Comfortable beds, spacious and clean rooms. Staff were very helpful. Stayed here to attend a 76ers game at Xfinity Mobile Arena. Our plan was to walk to the arena but my son wasn’t well so we caught an Uber. Getting there was fine but we should have walked back. We tried getting an Uber just before the game finished and 14 of them cancelled on us. By the time we got one it had doubled in price. The pick up area was so far away we could have walked back by then. Having said this, the hotel is excellent and perfect if you want to stay somewhere close by. The restaurant is handy too.

Its attached to a mall, so its really convenient if you and you wife want to step out, grab some food, and step right back in. The room was clean as well and housekeeping was on top of everything. The Notary is in an excellent location in Philadelphia. Walkable to many tourist spots, like the Liberty Bell, Independence Hall, Betsy Ross House, etc. Our room was beautiful. It was large, with an extended sitting room that was very comfortable, almost like a living room in your room. We loved it. The staff were friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay at this hotel again when in Philadelphia.

Location, very spacious rooms, well equipped rooms, nice gym.Update: After posting the review, I was quickly contacted by the hotel management and offered compensation for the problems, which I really appreciate.
Staff was great, even though no one was there when I was trying to check-out in the morning (5am). So I just left the key and called before my flight. To check to make sure I had been checked out properly. The location was good. Located in the center of everything. Close to pretty much anything you want to do or explore.

We stay here every year (twice) for Penn Relays and Nationals. The parking garage (currently under construction but they have valet) and location make the choice easy. We can park and leave our car until we leave. The hotel is within walking distance to Franklin Field with plenty of restaurants within walking distance, too. The staff is always friendly and knows the area well.

Overall "ok" stay. We did a 1 night in a king room with park view. Room is spacious. Nice view on the park. Bathroom with shower was nice. Room was ok clean, dust in the corners. We had a quick lunch at the restaurant bar which was pricey but good. Breakfast was decent but not wow. Staff was very friendly overall.

The location was great! We were able to walk to dinner, which you have to go to Amada if you've never been. The hotel lobby, restaurant, and bar area were nicely decorated and had plenty of seating to just enjoy a drink and hang out. Overall it's a decent hotel.
The location is perfect. We were able to walk to the convention center and to restaurants. The room was clean and comfortable. The bathroom needs heat, towel bars, and an exhaust fan.

Location, very spacious rooms, well equipped rooms, nice gym.Update: After posting the review, I was quickly contacted by the hotel management and offered compensation for the problems, which I really appreciate.
Staff was great, even though no one was there when I was trying to check-out in the morning (5am). So I just left the key and called before my flight. To check to make sure I had been checked out properly. The location was good. Located in the center of everything. Close to pretty much anything you want to do or explore.

The is one of the best hotels in terms of location, good price, and pleasing aesthetic. Its attached to a mall, so its really convenient if you and you wife want to step out, grab some food, and step right back in. The room was clean as well and housekeeping was on top of everything. We had a problem when the room above was occupied by guests who were unbelievably loud stomping around the room and jumping etc. We complained and they quickly arranged a room for us where noise was not an issue. The front desk clerk was incredibly helpful and lovely!! The restaurant, Panaroma, is fantastic! Our best meal in Philly by far. Location is great.
Super clean, friendly staff, and the restaurant was phenomenal. I have back issues, and soft mattresses typically aggravate them, but the mattress in my room was super plush and didn't cause me any issues at all. I woke up feeling more rested than I have in years. The hotel isn't in a particularly quiet area, but I couldn't hear any outside noise in my room, and I was very pleasantly surprised.
Charming historic hotel with great service - my flight was severely delayed and I was at risk of a "no show" fee. The front desk was so helpful in ensuring that my arrival was smooth, even when I showed up exhausted. I appreciated the free coffee and muffins in the morning as I was pressed for time (given the late arrival of my plane). I hope on my next visit I will have more time to explore the neighborhood. My room was quite clean, in particular the bathroom. I liked the historic furnishings, which made me feel cozy.

This location was amazing. It was so close to everything in the city that we wanted to do. The breakfast was amazing. The staff was very kind and accommodating. They were very communicative and helpful leading up to our trip, giving advice on local hotspots, and information about our stay. We rented a car, but was able to walk everywhere we wanted to go, once we got to the hotel, due to the amazing location. The Hotel was very clean, warm, and cozy. I highly recommend this hotel.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The rooms had a classic elegance and charm that gave the place a timeless feel. Everything was exceptionally clean, and it’s clear the staff takes pride in maintaining the space. I'm not easily pleased by hotel rooms, but I have to say that my stay at the Hyatt Centric was exceptional. On the outisde, the building is nothing special. Toilet, sink, shower were all perfectly functional. HVAC was quiet and responsive. The room overall was extremely clean. A pet peeve of mine, which I often find even at fine hotels, is cracked or smudged bathroom basboard tile. At the Hyatt Centric the tile was flawless -- just a measure of how new and well taken care of the room was. After most hotel stays, I'm tired of it all and happy to be home. For the Philly Hyatt Centric, I can readily imagine going back. (I stayed in a king high floor, which I recommend: possibly less wear and tear, floor to ceiling view toward the south.)
