This location has a lot of charm, a modern aesthetic, and generally has all the amenities you'd expect in its price range. Outside of the rather crucial flaw I experienced, I'd likely stay again and it's a great option in Tahoe City.

The staff was friendly, helpful, accommodating, and went above and beyond for our group.
It would be nicer if there were black out shades. Our room only had a privacy screen, but did nothing to block out the street lamp light from the parking lot at night.

Top Tips
- Incline Village sits at an elevation of around 6,350 feet (about 1,935 m), which can cause lightheadedness or shortness of breath for new arrivals. Increase water intake and avoid heavy exertion for the first 24 to 48 hours. Most hotels provide complimentary water in rooms or public areas; travelers with heart or respiratory conditions should consult a doctor before arrival.
- Incline Village is 38-45 miles (61-72 km) from Reno-Tahoe Airport, with a drive of 45-60 minutes. Public rideshares can have 30-60+ minute waits, so pre-book a shuttle or private transfer. For reliability, consider shuttle services endorsed by your hotel or confirm shuttle schedules at the front desk.
- Hotel resort and parking fees can add $15 to $50 USD daily to your total rate. Verify the final per-night amount before booking to compare properties accurately, and check if parking charges differ for guests with a disability placard or for electric vehicles.
- IVGID beach and recreation access for hotel guests is often limited or subject to hotel policy. Ask if your hotel offers guest passes to private beaches or recreation areas, which can save $15 to $20 USD daily on parking or entry fees. Confirm inclusions related to local recreation facilities before arrival.
- Cell coverage near the lakeshore is often variable. Confirm your hotel's Wi-Fi reliability if you need to work remotely, and consider a backup hotspot if consistent speeds are critical. Many hotel lobbies offer public workspaces; request a Wi-Fi speed test at check-in if online work is essential.
- Wildfire smoke can affect Incline Village from summer through fall. Check AirNow for current air quality, and ask hotels about HVAC filtration or AC recirculation to reduce exposure. Some hotels offer portable HEPA filters or in-room air purifiers; travelers with respiratory conditions should bring necessary medication.
- Request accessible, step-free, or lower-level rooms if mobility is a concern; steep terrain is common at hotels and public beaches. Ask if the property has elevator access or accessible features such as visual alarms when booking.
- Carry cash for small local transactions, as some Incline Village businesses and ATMs may charge a $3 to $5 USD surcharge. Branded hotel front desks may offer small cash advances against a card. International travelers should check their bank’s currency conversion fees.
- Book hotels at least three months ahead for ski season (December to April) to capture rates 15-25% lower than peak prices, which can surge by 30-50%. Consider joining hotel loyalty programs for member-only discounts or early access during high season.
- Staying between May and November can mean discounts of 40-60% on hotel rates, with average prices from $120 to $250 USD per night. Many top hotels offer extra benefits during off-peak months, like flexible check-in times or complimentary upgrades when available.
- Look for hotel package deals that include ski lift tickets or golf rounds to save 10-20% compared to booking separately. Confirm whether packages are bookable via the hotel website or travel partners, and check cancellation policies before purchasing a bundled rate.
- Only a limited number of Incline Village hotels allow pets, with fees ranging $50 to $100 USD per night. Request details on pet amenities such as designated relief areas or provided treats prior to booking.
- Lakefront hotels for July 4th week should be booked 3-4 months in advance, as rates can spike 65-85% above typical summer prices. If you need flexibility, verify cancellation and date-change policies before committing, as blackout and prepaid terms are common.
- Hotels located in Incline Village proper provide direct access to the RTC Washoe Route 4 shuttle to Palisades Tahoe (18-22 minute ride). Crystal Bay hotels do not have a designated stop. Confirm shuttle operating hours with your hotel, especially during holidays or off-season.
- Incline Village lodging is subject to a total tax of 12-15%, including a 10.1% room tax and a 2% Tourism Improvement District fee. Check if online rates include tax upfront or if they are added at check-out, as this impacts comparison shopping.
- For winter visits, request properties with propane backup heating, as power outages occur 2-4 times per season and propane systems provide heat during 3-8 hour outages. Ask about additional winter amenities such as heated indoor pools, onsite generators, or electric vehicle charging.
- Use ATMs at Tahoe State Bank or Wells Fargo within Incline Village to avoid $3.00 USD fees common at off-site ATMs. Some hotels provide on-site ATMs without extra fees; always check for dynamic currency conversion before withdrawing.
- For step-free access to the shoreline, choose properties in the Sunnyside or Dollar Point zones. About 70% of lakefront homes in Incline Village proper have at least 8-15 steps down to the water. Confirm if any accessible ramps or path gradients are present at your chosen property.
- Prioritize rentals or hotels displaying a Snowflake ID from the Incline Village General Improvement District, which ensures private beach and park access and helps avoid $25 USD daily access fees. Confirm with the property at booking, as amenities may not be listed in all descriptions.
- If renting a property on a private well (about 12% of rentals), check the annual water testing report before arrival if you are immunocompromised or traveling with infants. Ask whether bottled water is provided or consider bringing a personal water testing kit for added safety.
