The suite we rented in and of itself was very cool & worth the $$$ . Most places would want much more than what we paid to rent out a suite so nice...

Great location, friendly staff, fun restaurant and bar. Locally owned
This is an older hotel. The bathtub has had a "coating" put on it and it was peeling off. Not the most sanitary condition. I notified the desk clerk when I checked out. For the price of $--- per night, I expect a spotless room!

Top Tips
- Santa Fe sits at about 7,200 ft (2,195 m) altitude. Request hotel-provided humidifiers or extra bottled water in advance to help offset common headaches or sleep disruption. Many hotels accommodate this, and starting with light activity on arrival day supports adjustment.
- The Santa Fe Indian Market, held the second weekend of August, fills downtown hotels 3-6 months in advance and rates often jump by 20% or more. Book early and review cancellation policies for flexibility during this high-demand cultural event.
- Most long-haul travelers arrive via Albuquerque International Sunport (ABQ), about 60-75 miles away. Plan for a 1-1.25 hour transfer to Santa Fe, and compare options like Groome Transportation shuttle, the train, or rideshares for flexibility.
- Plaza hotels offer direct access to key museums and galleries like the Georgia O'Keeffe Museum, while Railyard properties feature newer rooms and on-site parking. Compare locations, as many chain hotels are within 0.3 miles of these districts.
- Historic Pueblo-Revival hotels may lack step-free entrances. When booking, confirm step-free or ADA-accessible rooms and ask about visual alarms or ramp access, as features vary. Reconfirm 48 hours before arrival for assurance.
- Final hotel charges in Santa Fe often include resort, service, or parking fees, which can add 10-25% to the base rate. Always verify the total due, including local taxes, during checkout to avoid surprises.
- Pack light layers for Santa Fe's daily temperature swings, with summer highs often reaching 85-90°F (29-32°C) and much cooler nights. Some historic inns lack modern AC, so confirm availability in July or August if you are sensitive to heat.
- If remote work is planned, ask hotels for their actual Wi-Fi speed; 20 Mbps or higher is typically reliable for video calls. Request a recent speed test result or confirmation of business-grade connection before booking, as speeds can vary.
- Santa Fe's ~7,200 ft elevation means UV index levels of 8-10 or higher are common mid-summer. Apply SPF 30+ sunscreen and lip balm frequently to reduce sunburn and dryness, especially during outdoor activities.
- Santa Fe hotels often follow water-saving practices, with housekeeping changing linens and towels every 2-3 nights by default. When booking, check the refresh policy and request extra linens or more frequent service if preferred.
