Friendly & helpful staff from check in to check out. Hotel employee (no name tag) was wonderful and had great suggestions on things to do with our grandson. She checked us out and was friendly and professional. She is an asset to the hotel.
Nothing we liked about this pathetic hotel and in fact, we lost our money in spending for hospitals due to their disgusting bed and pillows which made us sick.

It was terrible. First of all the television wasn't working because the battery needed to be changed and then there was roaches crawling on the bed my 2 kids were sleeping at which I took a video of that. Then the AC was not working.

Understanding my needs
Leaving it and checking into another, clean, uninfested with roaches and mice and toilet tissue on the floors of the lobby and poorly installed hallway rugs that make you stumble.

The cleanliness of this hotel is top-notch. The breakfast is excellent. And the facilities are superb. The check-in staff are very friendly. The breakfast staff are also very courteous and attentive.
The hotel in general and our room in particular were both clean. The hot breakfast was well stocked and very good. Parking was available and close to the entrance. Surprisingly, despite being near the airport we didn't hear any air traffic.

Convenient location , the wait staff and especially the omelette chef was excellent .
Hotel is very clean & safe. Breakfast was excellent with a omelette station and everything you could want for a great breakfast. I would value that around $15 a person if you went to a restaurant with similar offerings.

Top Tips
- Prioritize hotels within 0.3 miles of Newark Penn Station to maximize access to Amtrak, NJ Transit, and PATH rail lines; reach World Trade Center in Manhattan via PATH in about 22 minutes. Confirm with your hotel whether PATH fare cards or reload kiosks are available onsite, as many brands offer transit ticket sales at the front desk.
- Plan for a 35-45 minute transfer from Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR) to Manhattan using AirTrain and NJ Transit; allow an extra 10-15 minutes if traveling with checked luggage or at peak times. Review wayfinding signage for accessible routes if you require step-free transfers.
- Use complimentary hotel shuttle services from EWR-area hotels to avoid $15-40 taxi or rideshare charges; major brands typically operate shuttles in 20-30 minute intervals. Confirm shuttle pickup locations and accessible boarding policies with your hotel prior to arrival.
- Book your hotel 2-6 weeks ahead if you plan to visit during major Prudential Center or NJPAC events, as availability may drop sharply and rates increase for those weekends. For loyalty or member rates, check eligible booking windows.
- Discover local dining in the Ironbound District (Ferry St./Commercial Ave.), a 10-20 minute walk (0.5-1 mile) from Newark Penn Station; many hotels offer maps or local guides at the front desk. For dietary needs, request hotel recommendations for restaurants offering allergen-friendly or vegetarian options.
- Budget $30-50 per night for hotel parking downtown, especially during event nights. Compare this with airport-area hotels, which may include long-term parking or offer lower rates as part of park and fly packages.
- Transit service in Newark typically reduces frequency after 11 PM; expect to pay $15-30 for a taxi or rideshare if returning late to hotels in central Newark. Confirm hotel front desk staffing hours if you plan to check in after midnight.
- Check shuttle and parking policies with your hotel if you have an early flight or require long-term parking, as some downtown hotels limit shuttle pickup times or require a 24-hour advance reservation. For accessible transport, request ramp-equipped shuttle availability when booking.
