Nice hotel and resort atmosphere. Brunch was good and staff were very nice: despite being the July 4th weekend, not overcrowded with people which was refreshing. The young lady who made the quick breakfast sandwiches near the front desk was awesome.

The location
The the hotel was clean rooms had a smell to them. Not too bad rooms cleaned every day. Best part was price.
I liked the fact that it appeared to be a family operating the motel. I particularly like the fact that they all spoke such broken English that it was near impossible to understand them.

The balcony with a great view of the Lake of the Ozarks. beds were comfortable and the couch and coffee table were great for cards.
The staff , espically the bartender on duty.
Hot tub was huge, but the hand railing to get in and out was busted and laying on the floor. The pool and hot tub being open 24 hours was awesome.

This hotel is amazing. It?s like a dream. They have everything you could ever want. It?s like the Disneyland of hotels.
The overall "personality" and "quirkiness" of the vintage property, it's location, and the recent upgrades.

Location. Nice pool

Poor quality. We stayed at the house in the estate where parking was so steep that it was almost impossible to drive up there.
I thought it was a bit ridiculous that being a customer at the hotel didn¿t get you any better amenities than someone staying down the road. You pay 16$ for breakfast and 17$ to get in the water park anyone can go to the swim up bar. Really save your$
Friendly staff and they gave us rides on a golf cart anywhere in the resort. Food was great as well, were definitely coming back this summer.

Top Tips
- Book weekend stays between May and September at least three months ahead, as prices can rise by up to 40% compared to weekdays. From October to April, discounts of over 50% are common, so compare both weekend and weekday rates to maximize savings.
- Confirm that 'lake view' rooms provide unobstructed open water vistas, as some rooms may overlook docks or marinas. For the most scenic views, request rooms near mile markers 12-24, which are valued by guests seeking iconic Lake Ozark scenery.
- Prepay mandatory resort fees, typically $15 per night for amenities like pool or beach access, to save 10-15% compared to paying onsite. Check what’s included in advance to make the most of the resort’s facilities.
- Request accessible or ground-floor rooms if step-free access is needed. Only about 30% of older Lake Ozark lodges have elevators, and ramps are uncommon outside national brands, so confirm step-free or ramp access directly if mobility is a concern.
- Consider hotels partnered with marinas, such as Tan-Tar-A Resort or Margaritaville, for 15-25% discounts on boat rentals. Some partners waive fuel surcharges for hotel guests; ask about current promotions at check-in.
- For quieter stays, avoid rooms facing Highway 54, where overnight truck traffic is common after 22:00. Bayside properties like Lodge of Four Seasons or rear-facing rooms typically offer more peaceful nights.
- Check fire pit and grill policies before arrival, especially June to August, as open flames may be banned during drought periods. In 2023, only propane devices were allowed in Missouri state parks due to fire risk.
- Tip housekeeping staff $4–$5 per night, slightly below large-city averages due to competitive local wages. Leaving tips daily in marked envelopes can result in more personalized service.
