Wow. It was so beautiful. And easy to get to all the things we wanted to see and experience. And we usually go out for breakfast but the menu on the fridge tempted us to eat in and it was so good. Great food. potato pancakes, biscuits and gravy.

Top Tips
- To reduce noise at I-70 hotels, request a room on an upper floor or facing away from the highway. Truck traffic can be noticeable at properties directly adjacent to the interstate, so specify your preference during booking or check-in for a quieter stay.
- Salina Regional Airport (SLN) offers limited flights, so check schedules before booking travel. Wichita Airport (ICT), about 90 miles (145 km) or a 1.5-hour drive from Salina, has more direct city options and frequent service.
- In central Kansas, tornado and severe storm season peaks April to June. Promptly ask the front desk for the location of the interior shelter or lowest-level safe room; most major hotel chains post evacuation routes on guest room doors for easy reference.
- Most Drury Inn & Suites locations include a free hot breakfast and a 5:30 Kickback evening reception with snacks and a light meal. Offerings can vary by property, so confirm inclusions at the Salina location when booking.
- Free outdoor parking is standard at most Salina I-70 area hotels. For oversized vehicles, trailers, or long-term parking over several weeks, check property rules before arrival to avoid fees or towing.
- Opt for downtown Salina hotels to access dining and arts venues within a 10–20 minute walk of Courthouse Square. The area regularly hosts seasonal art walks and music events, adding more reasons to stay nearby.
- Booking during Kansas State Polytechnic commencements or major events in late spring? Hotel demand rises sharply; reserve 30-60 days in advance for the best choice of location and rates.
- If you need consistent Wi-Fi for remote work or video calls, confirm internet speed and whether business centers or meeting rooms have wired access before arrival. Most major chains also offer amenities like printer or copier use, so verify availability as needed.
