Yes I did it like having to leave my room at 2 am because of staff fighting with someone else that was staying. Slamming each other in peoples vehicles. We didn't feel safe or our vehicles safe at this hotel. The jacuzzi rooms don't work refused refund

Top Tips
- Secure your booking 2-3 months in advance for Jasper’s limited selection of under 10 hotels, especially during major events like the October Georgia Marble Festival, when nightly rates may surge 20-30%. Compare refundable options and confirm changes are allowed for peak periods.
- Factor in Pickens County’s hotel tax rate of 14%, adding $15 per night to mid-range stays. Check your booking total for taxes and fees before confirming payment.
- Check hotel Wi-Fi speeds directly if you work remotely. Jasper averages 20-50 Mbps, but speeds may dip during peak hours or summer storms. Ask the property to test the connection if reliable broadband is essential.
- Request accessible room features such as step-free access or elevators well ahead of arrival, as only about 25-30% of Jasper properties offer these adaptations. Contact your hotel at least one week in advance to confirm specific accessibility needs are met.
- Explore cabin rentals outside downtown for more space and kitchens, which can be up to 30% more cost-effective than booking multiple hotel rooms for families or longer stays. Confirm grocery or delivery access if self-catering.
- Always verify pet policies and fees before arrival, as costs range from $15-50 per pet per stay and some hotels enforce breed restrictions. Request written confirmation if traveling with a service animal.
- Choose from locally owned inns, which make up 80% of Jasper hotels, to enjoy tailored recommendations and insight into the area’s attractions. Ask about unique onsite features like porches or local breakfast options.
- Select a north-facing cabin to lower summer AC use by 20-30%, as south-facing cabins can run 7-10°F hotter. Confirm orientation when booking if you are sensitive to heat.
- Confirm your cell carrier’s signal strength in the area. Verizon averages 18 Mbps, AT&T 8 Mbps, while T-Mobile may drop to 1-2 Mbps in some valleys. Download digital keys or maps in advance if coverage is uncertain.
- For quieter nights, avoid hotels within 100 m of GA-5, where nighttime noise levels can exceed 60 dBA. Request an interior or rear-facing room if staying near busy roads.
- Prepaying at chain hotels like Quality Inn can yield 10-15% off via non-refundable rates, but review the property's specific cancellation rules before payment, as refunds are not permitted.
- Prioritize hotels with complimentary breakfast to manage dining costs, since Jasper’s sit-down restaurants often close by 9 PM. Ask about options for dietary restrictions ahead of arrival.
- Confirm the type of AC if staying in older motels, as pre-1990 properties may have window units that struggle in July-August heat. Request room placement away from direct sun for added comfort.
- Bring a reusable water bottle and enjoy Jasper’s high-quality potable tap water, which helps reduce waste and extra expense. Ask your hotel about bottle refill stations if needed.
- Tipping housekeeping $2-5 per night is customary in Jasper and helps ensure attentive service. Leave cash in a marked envelope daily, especially if stay-over cleaning is requested.
