It's a Marriott property, what's not to like?
Marriott Courtyard was clean, updated and staff was polite.
I did not get to go because of the weather in Georgia wrecking havoc on our highway. But you all full well know that because you kept the money for the 2 days the hotel did not charge me for. You dealt dirty with me and I will never forget it.

Great location and everything was good enough.
Room was spotless, beds were comfy, breakfast had a really nice selection (including hot eggs and bacon). We had to check out at 5:30a for our flight and were surprised and happy they had breakfast out already. Ample parking and close to the airport.

Cleanliness
Easy access
We liked the cotton sheets on the bed -- they're breathable and most comfy. It was also nice to have the fridge. We appreciated the morning front desk's help with needing a tooth brush and more shampoo.

Best coffee at a hotel ever. Convenient. Competitive price
It was very clean. Room had everything you would need. The staff was very helpful. Excellent full breakfast. Free shuttle to the tourist area ( the hotel is at the opposite side of the island ).
guest services did a great job for my 3rd move unfortunately it took any moves then extend my stay with barely a credit back but that wasn¿t his fault. Management did a poor job and the worst stay I¿ve ever had.

On the banks of the Caloosahatchee River, this palm-shaded area has been a vacation destination for more than a century. You can tour the elegant winter estates of industrialist Henry Ford or scientist Thomas Edison, or take a stroll past the art-deco movie house named for Edison in the downtown historic district. Top Tips
- Book Fort Myers hotels 60 to 90 days in advance for stays between December and April to secure rates up to 20% lower, as snowbird demand increases prices during this period. Check beachfront hotel availability early, as prime locations often sell out in peak months.
- Confirm resort or parking fees at booking, especially for beachfront or island properties such as those on Sanibel Island or Fort Myers Beach; these can add $15 to $35 per night to your total cost.
- Rent a car for island access, as public transit (LeeTran) has limited routes and frequencies for travel to Fort Myers Beach and Sanibel/Captiva islands. Ask your hotel about parking availability, typical costs, and if accessible vehicle rentals are supported.
- Plan outdoor activities for mornings or late afternoons during summer (June to September) to avoid daily afternoon thunderstorms and strong sun exposure. Many area hotels offer shaded pool access or indoor fitness centers as alternatives during midday storms.
- Budget $25 to $45 for a one-way ride-share from Southwest Florida International Airport (RSW) to downtown Fort Myers, a drive of approximately 20 to 30 minutes. Some major hotels may provide shuttle service, but availability should be verified before arriving.
- Verify a hotel's full-building generator coverage and cancellation policies for named storms if traveling during hurricane season (June 1 to November 30), especially for stays in August or September. Major hotel chains often publish disaster response protocols for added reassurance.
- Choose Downtown Fort Myers (River District) hotels for potentially lower parking fees and walkable access to restaurants and museums, compared to properties on Fort Myers Beach or Sanibel. The Edison and Ford Winter Estates and local art museums are typically less than 1 mile away on foot.
- If staying beachfront during sea-turtle nesting season (May 1 to October 31), confirm the hotel’s dark-sky lighting compliance and ask for rooms with approved shutters. Some beachfront hotels participate in conservation programs, which guests may inquire about or support.
- Request hypoallergenic or extra-clean rooms and written cleaning procedures for extended stays, as housekeeping frequency varies widely among smaller hotels. If you require ADA or accessible room cleaning, notify the hotel in advance.
