Hotel lobby
Friendly staff, location, comfortable bed, pretty grounds, good free breakfast
The motel breakfast was delicious. It was a short distance (within walking distance) to the hot springs. There were several areas on the motel grounds for children to explore. I would highly recommend this motel for families.

Old, historical hotel with pleasant, upgraded rooms and a eloquent, beautiful lobby.
It was great but the hotel is old so the insulation was not the best. My girlfriend was cold but I was fine. I did have to hear her complain an awful lot though...

Clean and great location
There are, let's say 4 Tier-levels, D through A (D being truck-stop-type Super 8's and A being St Regis/Waldorf Astoria, C being Choice Hotels and B being the Hilton Garden Spots, Embassy Suites). This is an A; probably a 7/10 at that level. Excellent!
Ease of Parking.

Top Tips
- Book hotels 4-8 weeks ahead for summer (mid-June to August) and major holiday weekends to secure flexible or refundable rates and avoid sold-out downtown properties. Many Glenwood Springs hotels offer free cancellation up to 24 hours before arrival - verify this when reserving.
- Amtrak’s California Zephyr and the Bustang West bus offer scheduled service directly to Glenwood Springs, letting guests avoid I-70 traffic and parking costs that can reach $15-20 per day. The Amtrak station is beside downtown and within a 5 to 10 minute walk of most major hotels.
- Request a room facing away from the train tracks to minimize overnight noise from train horns and engines. Confirm room orientation at check-in, especially if you are a light sleeper or traveling with children.
- Purchase Glenwood Caverns Adventure Park gondola and timed entry tickets online to avoid 30+ minute summer weekend lines and capacity sellouts. Double-check event hours and availability before planning your visit.
- Downtown and Hot Springs-adjacent hotels place you within a 5 to 12 minute walk (400-950 m) of Glenwood Hot Springs Pool, restaurants, and the Amtrak station. This walkable setting suits families, seniors, and guests seeking step-free access - review hotel maps for path details.
- Glenwood Hot Springs Pool sessions may require advance booking, so check facility rules and current hours before reserving a hotel if a pool visit is essential to your stay. Policies vary seasonally; confirm specific requirements online.
- Historic downtown hotels may have step-entry or narrow stairways; request an accessible room with step-free or elevator access at booking if needed. Ask about visual alarms or accessible bathroom features for guests with specific mobility or sensory needs.
- Hotel chains and select properties may offer perks such as free breakfast, parking, or early check-in - these can save $15-25 daily per amenity. Ask about package deals bundling Glenwood Hot Springs or Caverns tickets when booking.
