Review summary

The hotel offers a beautiful location and well-maintained rooms, with cleanliness generally noted by guests. The friendly and helpful staff contribute positively to the overall experience, even though some guests expressed concerns about limited parking and the value of the resort fee. While the property shows signs of age, the renovated accommodations and excellent amenities make it a favorable choice compared to similar-priced options in the area.

Staff was friendly and helpful. The room was large and had great views. The bed was very comfortable. Overall it was great for us and easy to travel with a baby. This resort is far better than others of comparable price.

Overall, not much could have been better. It would have been a little bit difficult to find our room if we didnt have the help of the bellman. Though our room number implied we were on the 2nd floor, because of the building we were in, we had to go to the 3rd floor. It was no issue but had the bellman not been with us, it might have been a little confusing at first.

Location was good. Food was good, waitstaff very nice

Elevators and hallways dirty. Our first room had a torn curtain and a broken lamp, stains in the bathtub, and when we asked for a different room, there was a hole in the carpet! And the tub had been patched. The dining room had a big hole in the wood floor! This is a Hilton?

The staff in every part of the resort were all super friendly. The grounds were beautiful. Rooms were clean.

There was a bee infestation at the pool area in the afternoon. Never seen anything like it. No one working at the pool area seemed overly concerned. I was told, "it happens. We tried to control it." Customers trash and food trays were left out and were magnets for the bees. Couldn't enjoy the pool that day. Also, the carpet in the building 4 hallway was old and had a mildew smell to it.

The casita we requested was a decent size and very spacious. The location was excellent and beautiful.

When we went into the room, we immediately noticed that the room was very stuffy and almost no AC, so it was very uncomfortable. It was also dusty and gave us the impression that the room had been vacant for a while. The hotel should have prepared the room before our arrival, but it had not. There were stains everywhere on the carpet, and the overall impression of the room was unclean. My husband actually did the fridge maintenance himself for the hotel, instead of having them do so. We had two fridges, and both of them had accumulated ice in the freezers that we felt like we were staying at a motel. Lack of maintenance was our main issues with the room(s). The restaurant was decent. Regarding the hotel staff, some were pleasant while others could improve on their guest-relationship skills. We started our trip in Chicago and headed to Tampa to Tucson and finished in San Diego. While staying at the hotel in Tucson, we became concerned that the consistent room issues we experienced in Tampa and Tucson were perhaps due to the reservations we made through the Bookings.com that we were not taken seriously and had been given rather low-grade rooms… could it be due to the discounted accommodation fees? However, we did not get so much discount and paid a fair price for each accommodation. We would have liked to stay in clean and up-kept rooms, rather than outdated and somewhat unclean rooms though they were spacious, and we were more than happy to pay for what we were expecting from these hotels in Tampa and Tucson. We usually book through the United.com, but for the convenience of bookings and other coordination purposes, we used the Bookings.com this time to make these reservations. We were disappointed until we arrived at our final hotel in San Diego, CA. Perhaps, we were familiar with the five-star hotel with many compliments by our friends and associates in the past that we knew that the hotel would keep its reputation.

The location was perfect. We chose this staycation for our 56th wedding anniversary. We loved all the palm trees and being near Pusch Ridge. The property grounds were beautiful. They did provide 2 bottles of water per day. They quickly sent someone to address a television problem.

We first reserved a king (maybe queen, can't remember) room with a balcony. Then were offered an upgrade to a "king size bed junior suite." Took that, as it was a discounted extra $30 per night. We were disappointed with the room, which really wasn't much more than a king or queen room. The bathroom only had one sink & not much counter space. They added in 2 chairs & 2 small sofas. I guess those "living area" additions were what made it an upgrade. We've stayed in hotels where all this was standard. We'd not upgrade again, knowing this in advance. The elevators didn't cover all the floors, making it difficult to get luggage up to a 3rd floor room. The coffee maker had a weird system for usage that wasn't worth the time to figure out. But the major issue was the added costs. Their Spa isn't in the main building, but about 1 mile away. No free wifi, from the dining for breakfast & dinner, twice each, along with a few drinks we racked up $1000! It was all so expensive, even despite things being more expensive in general right now. It's the day after check-out and I still don't have the receipt for it all that they were supposed to send via email. Anyway, we wouldn't go here again.

A destination resort that has all the amenities we were looking for. This is not a new property but rooms have been renovated and are nicely maintained. The view of Pusch Ridge is incredible!

Beautiful setting with access to some very nice hiking trails. Staff was friendly and helpful.

I had a massage at the connected spa and though the massage was relaxing, it was NOT a deep tissue massage as I had requested.
