Food quality was not always perfect.
Property is amazing, well maintained, has beautiful style of interior as well as exterior. We stayed in Junior Suite. You feel great and in awe just being there and walking from the pool to your room. Food was actually very good, not sure why all the bad reviews. We ate in Kanna, Peseta and Ginger. We had The Reserve upgrade so our breakfast was much better than the regular one that we had on our last day in the Main Hall. Early October, main swimming pool was very enjoyable (acquadance entertainers are sweet). Sunbeds in The Reserve area next to the beach are great, especially if you value shade and we were definitely happy with our The Reserve decision. Entertainment was overally very good, daily stretching, meditation and yoga under the palm trees in the garden. Evenings. There is often live music, we had one amazing opera singer, spectacular show he made for us, the few lucky ones that were there.
Nobody responded to any of our messages on Booking com, regarding check in and airport transfer. We were in Canaries for the first time so it was not very nice. Also, room descriptions are misleading. We received one rainshower instead of the promised two, and the rooms was not matching the photos. Be careful, the promised water ritual on Booking.com is not a proper ritual that includes massage as you might expect when browsing their app. It is just plain access to the indoor pool and sauna, which is pretty sad. That means sauna and indoor pool has to be paid extra and reserved, which sucks if you want to use the sauna and the pool briefly after your workout. 90 minutes massage rituals prices are from 220 to 250 euros so we ended not having them at all despite our 7 night stay. Next issue was the staff, the service in restaurants was all over the place. They seem unsatisfied with their jobs and at the evenings you can feel the definitive lack of staff. It was, on average, 2 mistakes during each meal, which should not happen at 5 stars (basic stuff like completely forgetting part of your order etc). Next, they made us sit through a 90 minutes sales “membership” ordeal, to subscribe to their 5 year plan, which sounded too good to be true and it was. Typical shady sales tricks that surprisingly exist in this day and age. We declined and felt disrespected. Unnecesary experience for a special week its supposed to be.
We had a fantastic 6-night stay at Paradisus by Meliá Gran Canaria. From the moment we arrived, we felt right at home. The staff were consistently warm, attentive, and helpful throughout our stay. The food was outstanding, offering a great variety and high quality at every meal. The hotel was impeccably clean and beautifully maintained — everything was stylish and thoughtfully designed. We booked "The Reserve" experience, and it was absolutely worth it. Having access to a private pool and exclusive restaurants made our stay even more relaxing and special. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a more private and luxurious experience within the resort.Overall, the hotel met — and even exceeded — our expectations for an all-inclusive vacation.
We had nothing to complain about.
10+/10 stay! The staff were amazing—especially at the front desk and concierge—so kind and accommodating, even arranging early check-in and late check-out. The grounds are beautiful and well-maintained, with plenty of places to relax both indoors and outdoors. The food was delicious, with very good gluten-free options. The spa service was wonderful, and the facial was genuinely effective. Plus, it’s just steps from the beach. Highly recommend!
Amazing stay from start to finish! The staff were so friendly and helpful, especially at reception. They even kept in touch during the stay and shared info about events, which was really thoughtful. The food was delicious at every restaurant. The pool area was always spotless, and the service was great. Housekeeping was excellent, loved the little chocolate on the bed each night! The spa was super relaxing with really professional masseuses. One of the best hotel experiences I’ve ever had!
Nice and clean hotel.Good location.Great beach walks Nice food.
Not ideal for couples or adults onlyNot enough restaurants.Only 1 pool if your not staying the the reserve
Relaxing, excellent food and drink choices lovely location
The bed was not the best quality
Most of the staff were outstanding. The hotel easily deserves 5 Stars for its Reserve features. The gardens are lovely, the main restaurant offers a very high standard of buffet and additional restaurants are available. A really lovely hotel in a perfect position in San Agustin, Grand Canaria.
We had two rooms over the two weeks. The bed on the 7th floor was excellent. I would advise the hotel to change the bed we had on the 5th floor.
Fantastic Kidsclub! A huge thank you to Moha?( I hope I write it right), Jesus and Patricia and the entire team for their dedication and kindness. You truly made our daughter’s vacation even more enjoyable! And Tamia was great from the housekeeping staff from the 6.th floor!
Location Good restaurants Modern hotelComfortable
Spacious, quite good options for eating, plenty of sun loungers. When we decided to move out early we were fully refunded which was appreciated.
The bedrooms are badly designed with limited and badly placed plugs. The bathroom is visible even with the curtain closed, so no privacy even for the toilet. We paid extra to be in the adult only quiet area, but were placed next to the lift and there was quite a lot of noise. Considering the extremely expensive rate, and so called all inclusive, there is no free parking, and we had to park some distance from the hotel. There were no beach facilities and the pool is quite small. No cushions on the balcony furniture. The shower makes the whole bathroom floor wet, and there was nowhere to put our wash bags and items in the bathroom.
Beautiful Hotel. Extremely friendly and professional staff. Comfortable rooms and facilities all round. Good choice of restaurants and leisure facilities.
Small minor details but when added up, just took the edge off the overall experience. 1. One biscuit per day in mini bar in room for two!!!2. Only beers (x4) and soft drinks in mini bar. My wife doesn’t drink beer. Hotel refused to add mini bottles of wine as an alternative replacement. 3. Inconsistent room turn down. Some nights little chocolates left on bed, some nights not. One night only one was left! We had to fight over it. lol 4. Food inconsistent. Very often served cold and we had to return to kitchen. 5. Having dinner in one of the Italian restaurant, I asked for some cheese. This was not on the menu but I thought maybe ( given its “top hotel”status) that they might pop up to the buffet restaurant above and get some. Sadly no.
The sunshine was great, the spa was excellent, and the bed very comfortable. Some staff are excellent and are being let down by others. Live music at the Lemon restaurant was wonderful
For public knowledge:Food & beverage is a complete disaster. Some staff were blatantly rude, some totally incompetent. Service standards inconsistent, the menu's shockingly poor, and we were kept waiting for long periods. Food quality is very inconsistent. Water and wine are only available by the glass! not the bottle, despite being all-inclusive, which meant that in order to top up a small glass, we had to chase a waiter to come back to the table. Restaurants are simply not run efficiently and have staff shortages. Stressful experience and ruined our much needed holiday. Don't be fooled by some photos. The beach is not close to the main hotel, and your Seaview room on the 1st floor can see the sea but some 400 metres away through some very dense palm trees....
The staff were very helpful The food as fantastic The swimming pool was beautiful Bed was comfortable
We asked numerous times (even on check in) not to be near any music and we were put in a room directly above it (the staff moved us the next day to a tired room. The reserve was not worth the money The waiter asked us to move from one bed saying it was reserved but the hotel policy is no reservations of beds at any time !!!
Staff was great and friendly. Food too, in Kanna restaurant in particular. The reserved breakfast was amazing and so was the lounge too! Gym was OK.
Were bit disappointed to food in Italian restaurant. The food in Yellowfish was a big disappointment.
The design of the hotel was very modern and a great place to relax. I was in the reserve and the attention by staff and reserve specific amenities made my visit even better. Food was great and staff were always helpful! Loved the observatory session, unique feature most hotels do not have!
Everything was great!
The hotel was absolutely beautiful. When we first walked in we were greeted by smiles. The staff was so friendly and helpful. There were many activities each day. We couldn’t have picked a better hotel. A special shoutout to Ava, Carla, Rita who were so kind to us during our stay.
The food could have been better. The buffet was cold and some of the food were okay. We did enjoy the Michelin restaurant Pesata - it was great.
Very clean. And the quality of food was luxury.
There wasn’t any all day snacks available for children. The GATE to the children’s pool and play centre was constantly left open putting all the children at risk. There needs to be more in place to stop the gate from being left open as children can get out.
