I have moved to Australia so smoked mackerel for breakfast was a lovely treat. Pool and steam room were very pleasant. Very pretty building and grounds.

Seemed a little understaffed when we visited. We were forgotten about at dinner and they looked so embarrassed when they tried to tidy up and get us out and we explained we hadn't received our main yet. Turned up for breakfast and no one was at the desk. Husband managed to hunt someone down and she looked exasperated that no one was there. But everyone was very nice!

It was comfortable it had all what we needed

The breakfast was fantastic and the staff at the restaurant were wonderful! Loved the family room as it was clean and had a beautiful view.

Some areas of the room were a little worn and tired. The staff were amazing at lunch and dinner but the service was quite slow. The changing rooms at the pool weren’t great, no clear area to put towels so people just seemed to dump them all around and they hadn’t been collected for a while. The floors in the changing room was also dirty. Also not a pleasant smell the three times we used the showers. The shower by the pool was very cold.

We loved the history of the building the architectural side of things the grounds was kept immaculate inside was very clean it really did look the business

There was no plug sockets either side of the bed had to leave phones at the other side of the room on chargeToilet had seen better days had to flush a couple of times to get it going it was old

So easy to book on line the lady on reception was so lovely and informative on arrival. The food was amazing and breakfast was well worth it. The room was amazing and so warm the bed was huge and the pillows was so comfortable

It couldn't be helped but the fire alarm went off really late and scared me death. Went to the leisure bar after a lovely swim and the guy behind the bar was all on his own and got really busy so had to wait abit to be served but he did so well and was really professional.

There was a cleaner I think the lady at the front desk said her name was Tasha. Tasha was extremely helpful me and my partner was lost Tasha took us to where we needed to go. Tasha was very respectful and friendly I gave my positive feedback to front desk as appreciation is very important to staff.

The location, the surroundings it was beautiful

Gym facilities were a bit dated. One restaurant closed at half 5 and the other didn’t open till 6 so you had a bit of time that you couldn’t get any food or drink.

The room was amazing, the facilities were great and it was such a bonus that Hudson (my dog) was very much welcome. Thank you kindly to Emma the receptionist and the lady with an Australian/New Zealand/South African accent (sorry we didnt get your name) who worked in the bar/restaurant for such a warm reception.

I liked everything.Room was nice,comfy and cozy.All stuff super nice and helpfull.Nice swimming pool and great expierence with golf simulator.Don’t remember the name of a guy who was in charge of golf simulator that day but big thank you to him for making it really fun and educating.Great person.Great food and snacks.We had very nice time.

Christmas Dinner was amazing don't change your head chef.

Payment system say i paid and then chased for double the money after i settled the bill , so confusing caused anxiety.

All good overall, we had dinner in the restaurant and the food was good. Breakfast - greek yoghurt and granola was good too. Cofee not great, I thought it was a bit tasteless. Staff; good on the whole but a ‘good morning’ and ‘please’ would have been nice at breakfast. I used the pool, steam room and sauna, all of which were welcome to have on a quick overnight stay.

Shower over the bath; much prefer a walk in shower. A really small thing; wooden stirrers in the room for tea & coffee; what’s wrong with a spoon? Our duvet was a little thin and couldn’t find an extra blanket to use in the room. Bedroom slippers please too!

It was in a rural setting

The corridors had a musty smell, the pool between 4 and 6.30 was full of school children having lessons and you could not use it as they were using the whole pool, the staff in the restaurant were argumentative and neglected serving you.

Very noisy and no sound proofing between rooms. We had to call reception to know on room next door, due to excessive noise.U should try and design this out. E. G put group's of women staying in one room, in a room far away from people who are paying for a quiet break away.

The hotel itself looks fabulous, parking and it's facilities were great, we make good use of the pool, the steam room and the jacuzzi. There is a sauna there but we didn't use that one . We very much enjoyed spending some time at the side of the pool on the beds relaxing towels were supplied by the hotel and the leisure staff were very pleasant and helpful

The food wasn't in keeping with the hotel. Fried Food let this down for us £95 for two no desserts and one drink each . Also having long life milk instead of normal milk in the main coffee machines at the morning breakfast made this unpleasant to drink. We stayed in a very nice room though 126. However, unfortunately at 12:30 at night we found out there was a room upstairs and we could hear Every sound coming from above , every footstep even snoring Which spoilt our stay? . Also would have to mention the 6:30 am fire alarm going off a very very loud bell in the room ... Which I'm assuming was a false alarm as it stopped within 5 mins nobody mentioned anything about it while we were there ?
