Hotel Carlton
Hotel Carlton is in the heart of Tunis, just over a quarter mile from the Medina. It provides 3-star accommodations, room service and free Wi-Fi. Hotel Carlton is housed in a 1926 Art Nouveau building. The rooms have satellite TV, private bathrooms and beds with orthopedic mattresses. All of the rooms are accessible with elevator and some rooms have a balcony with panoramic views of Avenue Habib Bourguiba. Carlton Hotel is 330 yards from the Theater of Tunis and just over a quarter mile from the Tunis Train Station.
Staff was very friendly and accommodating to us on our trip (6 people in 4 rooms). Free breakfast as fantastic with a variety of French and Tunisian foods, as well as a crepe and omelet station available every morning on floor 1 (technically 2nd floor).
The Staff was VERY aware of everyone who came in and out of the Hotel. They keep a watchful eye on people movements and made sure only paying guests had access to hotel accommodations and in-house services.

Very disappointed in the hotel especially after finding out that I have been overcharged in services. There was no shuttle to the hotel or airport which they said it was included got charged $40 to get to the hotel and $20 to get to the airport.

I can say this hotel has exceed my expectation. Everything you need in the hotel is there for you except no mosques around or in the hotel. I will definitely come back next summer .
