Black Rock Oceanfront Resort

We upgraded to an ocean view room and the experience was phenomenal. The staff at the hotel were very friendly and helpful.

Great location overlooking the water, and adjacent to the Wild Pacific Trail. Staff were friendly and welcoming. We had a 1 bedroom suite on the second floor with a lovely view through the trees to the ocean. Room was very comfortable and well furnished.

Fitness room was a bit small and crowded with equipment. There was a heat pump below our balcony, and the hum slightly detracted from the ambient sounds of the ocean.

The location

Rooms were not well maintained and fire place didn't work, staff were not as experienced as you would expect and pool plus hot tub was out dated and need of TLC. I rate this 2 star

Beautiful building,spectacular location and view of the ocean with rugged beach,close to town and Pacific rim trails. Hotel restaurants were excellent,friendly staff. Could not want anything more. A great place to enjoy a vacation

Location (views and proximity to other services) and staff were great.

Small issue; There was no 'do not disturb' sign in room.

Staff were not the most helpful. Otherwise an amazing place.

The view & the ambiance was wonderful!

The room was lovely and the hot tub and plunge pool was great especially during the rain!

Food was average

Great resort feeling, stunning view, nice jacuzzis, clean, spacious, and comfortable room. Very good price.

The running water in our room did not go hot, I believe they were having an issue at the time and many of the visitors had the same concern. Expensive restaurant.

We had a suite with fridge & stove. & microwave. We loved having our own easy breakfast in the suite. We packed our lunch for ready access on the trails. Then we had 2 nice dinners st your Currents restaurant.

No dresser in the bedroom. And one of the plugs in the kitchen did not work.

Hotel itself is run down. Needs work. Rooms are fine.

The upgrade to an ocean view was reasonable & we loved the proximity to the elevator. Currents breakfast was fantastic. Plus we really enjoyed thT fish n chips We will back

We struggled with thy coffee situation. So we decided to wait to go for coffee on out way home and discovered not a Tim’s nor Starbucks in sight for 64km on our way to the ferry .

Unfortunately we were not informed that the gym and lounge/bar would be closed for renovations

Amazing location and views! Rooms were big, clean and comfortable. Very close to the Wild Pacific Trail.

The hot tubs were always full (hard to get a spot when the hotel is busy). The gym was quite small and not as good as you'd expect from an upscale hotel. During busy times, we've ran out of hot water for the showers so I had to time when I'll be going or else run the risk of suddenly getting cold.

The bathroom was awesome, nice set up of the room. We didn’t end up bringing out pet but the welcome letter, bed a treats are a great bonus!

No plug in beside the bed to charge my phone would be my only complaint Also I requested a charcuterie plate for my boyfriend for his birthday with a card and it wasn’t in the room on arrival. I did call and the brought it immediately but should have been in the room at the start.

The staff, location, room and the restaurant were amazing.

We had no hot water, so we were unable to bath.

Love the room, Bed was great, View was great.

We had issues with the heat. When we got there, the heat hadn’t been turned on probably for days. Super cold. Try to fix it and said they’d get back to us and they never did. Luckily, the heat kept coming through the night or it could’ve been a super issue.
