This Groton, Connecticut hotel is 7 minutes from Trumbull Golf Course and Groton-New London Airport. It features an on-site restaurant, indoor pool and spacious rooms with a 32-inch flat-screen TV. - Excellent location; close to shopping/dining/etc Loved the black out blind provided in the room Staff was helpful and friendly
- Staff at the front desk was busy but extremely hospitable. Hotel was quiet and pool was open later than expected.
- The room was beautiful and hotel employee at the front desk was wonderful!
Cons -
- The undisclosed construction and ear piercing fire alarms The wait staff --snail-like The front desk was initally hostile, slowly becoming more agreeable once our booking anomaly was sorted This was NOT like my previous Hilton Honors interactions
- No continental breakfast
- Booked a double queen room and they didnt have it when I arrived and gave me a single. A couple of the gym equipment pieces werent working and/or were dirty. Only had one server working each shift, lapsed in alcohol license so couldnt get any drinks
