Big surprise! Loved the area and the hotel....This place has a big potential when combining local events, spas and programs during apple blossom, summer and fall seasons. Could also be an excellent winter holiday stay. The room and bed were fabulous.

The George Washington is a wonderful vintage hotel in the heart of Old Town Winchester. The property is so well maintained. Our room was very clean, spacious and nicely appointed. The staff could not have been more friendly and accommodating.

The hotel¿s check in/check out policy is a little disappointing. Check in time wasn¿t until 4 pm and check out is 11 am. We felt as though this was a little restrictive and limited our ability to enjoy the property and area (especially the check in time)

The staff were very accommodating. The hotel lobby was beautifully decorated. Room service staff very friendly and professional. The food was excellent.

If you want to stay in downtown Winchester, this is the best hotel option. In fact it may be the best in the overall area. Lovely historic hotel

The GW is lovely but the rooms are aging a bit. Public spaces and the bar especially is great. Rooms just need a bit of a freshening.

Location was perfect. Center of town, walkable to and from points of interest.

The room itself was kind of a let-down. There were two of us staying there, but only one of us had a night stand. There were no outlets near the bed for charging devices. The faucet was missing parts. The shower had hair from a previous guest.

We did not have air conditioning the first night of our stay. The beds are too small for 2 people. Charge for parking is ridiculous, should be included in price of room.

They should offer room service. The gym was disappointing and out of drinking water and cups

WE changed the date and have not stayed here yet.

I called to verify the date was changed for our reservation. I was sick with a very bad cold and she accused me of yelling at her but I was just trying to talk with all of the congestion I had. She hung up on me.

Room was very clean. Very comfortable bed and pillows. Nice decor.

The whirlpool was not working and the pool was cold, not able to be used. Very disappointing, as we chose the hotel based upon those amenities. Also, the restaurants are not open a couple days of the week so we had to leave the property for dinner.

The fact that is an historic hotel, the large room and large bathroom, outstanding staff, and proximity to the Winchester Pedestrian Mall with many restaurants, shops, and the Bright Box music club.

The character and charm. Very nice decor and beautifully decorated for Christmas. The room and beds were excellent. Only sorry I couldn¿t stay longer.

Clean, elegant rooms

TV was small and awkwardly positioned, not easy to watch and could not be re-located. Room next door was noisy, walls seemed thin for a quality hotel. Hotel did not require mask usage.

Our room was very quiet and clean. The staff was average--courteus. Due to the pandemic, we had no maid service.

let's see, no maid service, the restuarants in the hotel were way overpriced, there was no free breakfast, and i felt as if the charge for daily parking was not made clear before we got there.

Great hotel and location

Only problem was the air condition wasn't working. our room never got below 77 degrees.

The helpful friendly staff and the history/look of hotel and pool. Love the location.

The rooms were small but large bathroom. The toilets flushing are very loud and run for a long time. No fan in bathroom. Parking in hotel lot should be included in hotel cost.
