Convenient with good sporting leisure facilities

Could have been closer to town and beach

Good location, nice staff, very convenient electric car charging

Large comfortable room. Quiet and not too hot. Breakfast decent but not a huge choice of pastries or fruit etc. Staff very helpful. Pool 25m so great for an actual swim. Gym huge but could get busy.

The air conditioning was too noisy to keep on and sleep so the room got very hot as the windows didn't open more than a couple of incges

room was very comfortable, best bed i have slept in in a while , staff were all friendly when needed to help at all, pool and gym were very good and use of them alongside the sky sports in the club room, free parking and late check out make it seem a lot better value, had a minor issue where they seemed to run out of a few things at the breakfast at the same time on the monday morning, and took a while to replenish, but a very small grip to a lovely stat.

location is a little far our so mostly driving to places of interest, but pretty good access to the major roads, so not a major issue. food ran out at buffet breakfast at same time.

The location is convenient with plenty of free parking. The hotel gym was good and the hotel restaurant was good.

The room was very small to be classed as a family room. Our kids slept on mattresses on the floor! The room smelt damp and the carpet looked grubby. No fridge in the room.

Hotel was so clean had great facilities and the staff were really nice. That was super comfy. The food was really nice. Couldn’t vote it amazing hotel.

Found cost of the hotel was a little pricey along with the food and drink in the hotel it was really nice however very expensive looking at £18-£20 for a meal.

We have stayed at this particular Village several times, and always find the staff pleasant and welcoming.Our room on this occasion was of a good size with a comfortable bed.

We booked a 3 night stay, and on the first 2 mornings ,discovered chaos in the breakfast room with a large contingent of families with youngsters who were obviously part of a sporting tournament present.The hard pressed few members of staff on site were struggling to provide clean plates,dishes, and food , let alone being able to clear tables. Management must have had a rough idea of numbers , so were they unable to roster enough bodies to cope with the influx ?In fairness, this was the first time we have ever had to complain, as we did when checking out. No blame though should be directed at the breakfast room staff who did their best to try to keep on top of the situation.

The hotel pub/grill is a sports bar with huge screens - noisy and not conducive to a peaceful meal.

Room was not fully accessible for wheelchair - no space to get to the window between bed and cupboard. I booked and paid for a double room, but the only partially accessible room available was a twin room, although I had booked two months previously. The bathroom had a bath but not an accessible shower, the wash basin was lower, and there were grab rails around the toilet, but as all rooms are advertised as 'accessible' they are not suitable for wheelchair users. I had contacted the hotel before booking with Booking.com but the Village Hotel said I should have booked directly with them - it seems that Booking.com does not have an online booking facility to book a wheelchair fully accessible room!

Staff not so helpful. On the final day we waited 1:30mins for food only for it to come out wrong. Being from hospitality, i would expect a full comp but was only offered 50%. Really wasn't worth paying for or eating but we needed to get going and had no more time to go else where. Gym staff were way to casual, a member of staff had his feet up on the table while we were be dealt with by his colleague. Club rooms too similar to standards, a fridge would be great.

Really good value for money for this pretty big hotel. Close to Poole and Southampton, really nice buffet breakfast, comfortable bed and pretty quiet during the night. The staff was really nice too. Too bad we didn't have the time to test the gym and the pool. That's the kind of service you don't expect at this price.

Great location for my business trip.

Very, very noisy.Blaring music, I presume from the gym well into the evening and starting again at 6:30 amLuckily, I was getting up but anyone wishing a lay in would have been woken up. Ridiculous.

No gluten free options in restaurant- very poor had to walk to Tesco and buy and sandwich @9pm

My first room (214) wasn’t clean, it was very dirty and the music from the gym was very loud. My room was changed by reception (who were both very polite, apologetic and helpful). My next room was 418 which was much cleaner and nicer although the window blind did break.

I had change 3 times in hotel. First room smell mould in shower room. Second room lock didn’t lock and final 3 room last nite . I did get complimentary calls to use at the ball and also in the morning I have a Starbucks complimentary card to get a coffee.. morning I had breakfast and it wasn’t very good. The sausages and the bacon wasn’t cooked properly and I went to use the toast and the toast was stale. I asked about it and they said it was frozen so they just took it out of the freezer and they put it out so I was very disappointed as I’ve stayed in another village hotel in Portsmouth. It’s a new build and I was very impressed. I did enjoy my stay in the village hotel so as you can imagine it is very stressful but the staff was very nice.

I liked swimming pool and sauna and bar. The room was nice comfortable

All the staff were so friendly and helpful. The room was perfect, great shower and very comfortable bed. Just on my way back for another two night stay.
