The Glasshouse, Autograph Collection is a modern 5-star boutique hotel set behind the historic facade of 172-year-old Lady Glenorchy Church. A short walk from both Edinburgh Waverley Rail Station and York Place Tram Stop, it features an amazing 2-acre roof garden with views over Calton Hill. Each bedroom has floor-to-ceiling windows, with views of the roof terrace or over Edinburgh city center. Luxurious touches include a flat-screen TV, Nespresso coffee maker, an iPod docking station, a free newspaper and Highland Aromatics toiletries in the bathroom. Most bedrooms offer a balcony or private seating within the roof garden. Breakfast is served in the hotel’s The Brasserie, which offers guests floor-to-ceiling windows, with a backdrop over Calton Hill. Breakfast includes both full Scottish or continental options. Guests can enjoy locally sourced sharing platters and beverages in either the Cozy Lounge or our Rooftop Garden, which features nearly 100 different whiskeys. Edinburgh Castle is 1 mile away and Princes Street's restaurants and bars as well as the Royal Mile can be reached in 5 minutes on foot. The nearby tram stop offers a direct connection to Edinburgh Airport.

- Where to start... great location, beautiful building, well-designed room and bath. Staff was helpful in getting settled, arranging parking our take-off take-away breakfast, and making reservations at a local hotspot. The third floor garden was a treat.
