The Conningbrook Hotel

The renovations are excellent and the room was clean. The bathroom was excellent. The receptionist was professional and understanding.

The hotel room was not secure. The balcony was unlocked and there was no available key to lock it. The receptionist was almost expecting me when I went and asked for a key and she had clearly had this issue before. She offered me cable ties which were a flimsy fix. As a result we barely slept a wink. We have children and couldn’t switch off.

Location for Eurotunnel, spotlessly clean, comfortable bed, maybe just been refurbished. Staff excellent, friendly and helpful. Food in bar very good choice and breakfast very good. Price very good. Room 42, spacious, large double bed.

Very minor points. Some fresh fruit at breakfast would be ideal. Radiator in room very efficient but controls a tad tricky is not come across them before (need to touch a panel on top of radiator then master changing temperature)

Staff were excellent, very friendly, food very good the whole stay was great value for money

Everything was great

The staff were absolutely lovely. Alfie, Tom and colleagues were really welcoming and helpful!

Quite a bit of noise from the road throughout the night.Breakfast was served from 8 am which is not ideal if you have an early start. However, Tom did everything he could to help out.

Room was chilly towel rail heater not on Reception woman didn’t get it sorted when I asked her Also no light outside reception in the drive so difficult to find your way to car park on a very uneven road

Lovely reception. Cosy pub for an evening meal and nice breakfast. Would recommend.

Second time stopping here for a couple of nights for work purposes in the last few weeks, and it was excellent as before. Quiet, comfortable, great breakfast, friendly and professional staff. I'll be back again in the coming weeks.

There wasn't anything we didn't like.

Since our last visit, it appears the accommodation has had a complete makeover, and to a high standard too.The young staff were very friendly and helpful.

Room was very large, clean and bed was comfy. Room was dark at night which is always a plus

Very poor shower pressure/temperature in the evening - it was much better in the morning.Breakfast was very basic which was surprising considering how extensive (and good) the pub food was in the evening.

Close to where we needed to be

We was on the ground floor and you could hear everything upstairs walking around floor boards.

Nice big room and bathroom. Warm. Quiet

No one at reception when arrived. Waited ages before walking into the bar to tell the bar staff. Is that the procedure? You should say so with a sign rather than us standing there like lemons.Big room but small bed - unusual not to have a large bed these days. Lights kept on in garden all night, could be seen even when curtains drawn.

Bell or buzzer would be a good idea for reception and dining area if staff aren't visible.

Rooms were beautiful, clean and comfy. Lovely, freshly cooked English breakfast with cereal, croissants, yoghurt and fresh juices and hot drinks.We had a few hiccups but staff went out of their way to rectify.Helpful, friendly staff in hotel, bar and restaurant. Big shout out to Sophie on reception and Tom in the restaurant in the mornings who went above and beyond.

Reception too small and dowdy in comparison to rest of hotel.

I went to a funeral and was late to bed after the wake - breakfast finished too early for me to partake.Unfortunately there was no hot water for the shower

Excellent staff, very friendly, break fast is pretty good Attached restaurent good food for lunch / dinner. We got pretty good options for vegetarians
