Pros +
- Loved the setting: On the river, adjacent to a nice marina, convenient for my work. The room was a clean, somewhat modernized facility right out of the 1950s that had (almost) everything you need, and nothing you don't...NO frills!
- Awesome experience, Fantastic location Loved the vintage rooms with a little modern twist
- Right on the water, if you are looking for that! Pleasant atmosphere, not just a chain motel Close to the Alexander Springs camp where we were joining others
Cons -
- Internet didn't work. LOUD traffic noise from the steel-grate bridge close by. NO one was in the office for checkin/out; left the key under the doormat! I called; was told my fee would be lowered due to no internet; it was NOT. NO breakfast.
- Could use elec. upgrade. No place convenient to plug in coffee maker They are upgrading the whole place. Loved the atmosphere & setting.
- Hard to find (signs not conspicuous enough) Floor got sandy from barren places in grass at front of building where you park. Need more hanging space in bathroom

Owner and staff were very nice. This place is old, but I like the nostalgia. The new owner is making a lot of much needed improvements. The location is very cool, right on the river. Located next to a drawbridge, so some road noise, but not bad.
Buttons on the air conditioner were abused by previous guests and difficult to read, but we figured it out and it worked fine.
