Arenal Paraiso Resort Spa & Thermo Mineral Hot Springs is an exotic retreat that offers its guests a complete spa and wellness center with massages, 2 saunas, and a fitness center. The property also has shops and restaurants on site. The accommodations at the Arenal Paraiso all offer stunning views of the Arenal Volcano, plus cable TV, coffee maker and a private bathroom that includes a hairdryer and toiletries. Some unites feature terraces, while others have balconies. There are 2 restaurants at this property. One of them specializes in regional dishes, while the other serves international-style cuisine. The breakfast buffet is free of charge and free Wi-Fi is available only in the restaurant and in the front desk. Arenal Paraiso has an on-site gift shop, 7 pools with thermo-mineral water and a regular swimming pool, natural walking paths and car rental services. - Wonderful hot spring with swim up bar and kind staff. Magnificent views of Volcono! Overall reasonable clean.
- Nice room. Pool bar was nice. Hoy thermals were ok.
- The location, close to other thermal resorts and La Fortuna area
Cons -
- Service at the resturant for dinner was perhaps the worst I have ever experienced. Waited over an hour to get entree, apitezer never came and after entree was finished the sever suggested reordering it. No appoligies made. Multiple lies/ excuses.
- Pool bar staff were very very slow. We sat there for 5 minutes waiting to give order and both bartenders just walked away. We left. When we did get service food was expensive $10 for a fruit blended drink. Restaurant food was average at best but 2x$.
- The room and bathroom needs upgrading, plus the lack of hooks to hang towels and clothes makes it so uncomfortable. Breakfast is ok, but the amount of flies makes it unbearable... they should keep cleanliness as a priority.
