- I love the design and architecture of the Berkeley City Club. It feels old and secure. The bar and restaurant are excellent and easy to access. The seimming pool is beautiful.
- Beautiful inside, charming, historic.
- This hotel is a historic landmark by a famous female architect. Hotel is full of architecture significance and is well preserved. I was pleasantly surprised. Staff is also amazing.
Cons -
- There is no AC in the rooms and no mention of when booking. The windows only open so much to let air in and when you do you can't sleep because of the noise outside. I finally called the front desk and they let me know there was a fan in the closet.
- This hotel is a little old fashion with older building accommodation. There is no TV inside my room. It is a little noise that I can hear the neighbor. It still used key. Otherwise, all other, the tub, the bathroom, the bed and the bedding are good.
- 5yr anniversary trip. given rm 301 (same for401,501,601) which is adjacent 2&behind the elevator shafts. Little sleep; kept awake by droning wall rattling motors, chatter of passengers &loud banging thud @each stop unti after 12am then promptly awoken@4am
