On the edge of Luzern and just a 5 minute bus drive from the center, Hotel Spatz offers rooms with free Wi-Fi. The hotel’s own restaurant serves Swiss specialties made with local products. You can also sample different international wines on site. All rooms feature a TV, a radio and a bathroom with a shower and a hairdryer. Some of the Spatz hotel’s rooms also come with a balcony. During summer, you can dine outside. A freshly prepared breakfast is served daily at Hotel Spatz. The Luzern Eichhof bus station (line 1) is just 65 ft away and the lake shore is 1.5 miles from the hotel. The main train station and the Chapel Bridge can both be reached within 5 minutes by public transportation.

Location and the price.
The room was clean with all facilities in good working order. The location is good for driving as the hotel has limited parking available, although on a first come first serve basis only. The location is also good for public transport as the bus stops are just outside. The family rooms are only on the top floors of the building and the building has no lifts. This came as a bit of a paradox as families as a group are most likely to need lift facility, whether it be due to older people travelling or young families with strollers, etc. The road outside can also get quite busy from early on in the day causing a fair bit of noise if the windows are open.

Due to a train delay we showed up at 6:30, and uniquely to this hotel then only do check in for 3 hours a day from 3 to 6. So when we arrive there was no one inside and the door was locked. I tried messaging through booking and their website but no response. This is an actual SCAM hotel, there is nothing accommodating about this place. Genuinely avoid like the plague there are better hotels in the area for a cheaper price, I would know I had to book one the day of
