Pros +
- Beautiful location overlooking the lake. Lovely room with great bathroom and nice shower. Very comfortable room and bed. Nice breakfast. We had dinner also which was really nice.
- Truly extraordinary - Spectacular views, beautiful accommodations, lovely food and really helpful staff. Very worth the splurge.
- The location and the view of the lake
Cons -
- Use of “suite” for a single room is misleading. It should be put more clearly that there is no door between the bedroom and the other space. Also the kitchen space should not be located near the bed.The closet to put the clothes was old not refurbished and dirty. The soundproofing was poor so that we can hear the other visitors. There is nothing luxury in that accommodation.Very first disappointment from our trip in NZ.
- We were on the bottom floor and could hear the kids upstairs running around. If possible, suggest asking for a room on the top level.
- All great

Gorgeous, peaceful setting. We spend many hours just sitting in the chairs overlooking the lake. We loved the huge windows in our room also overlooking the lake. The animals (donkeys, sheep, and ponies) make the lace extra special. We had a car but also took Ubers to and from town—a quick 10min ride. The tour companies also know this propertyStaff was fantastic. Niki worked the breakfasts when we were there and she was wonderful. So friendly and kind, she took excellent care of us. She gave us tips on places to go, always asked how our stay was, and truly cared that we were having a nice stay there.

My wife and I spent two nights at On The Point, and it is truly a breathtaking place with spectacular views. The staff were incredibly attentive and friendly, and the breakfast was fantastic. Our room was exceptionally spacious and beautifully appointed.

Everything was incredibly beautiful: the location, the restaurant, the hotel room
Fabulous location, very comfortable room and lovely staff
Massage wasn’t great. Very uncomfortable massage table and very cold room
The grounds were beautiful. There were many fun activities to partake in during our short stay. The breakfast was quite delicious and the women preparing it were also very lovely.
Manager asked us to leave common space for a private party. We only wanted to enjoy the living room for a few minutes. It was a bit rude as we traveled across the globe to experience the hotel. The amount of small flies at night that stormed the room were astonishing!
Beautiful and animals!!! Amazing place and excellent food! All amenities you could think of. Breakfast was amazing and Niki was great!
Massage wasn’t the highest quality like one would expect at a place like this. Was ok.
Stunning views, service and accommodation was amazing, food was lovely, breakfast was fab. Close to town and the sea.
We had a ground floor room, the room above was quite noisy - they could do with some sound proofing.

The location on he lake is beautiful as well as the entire property. The staff was amazing, so friendly and helpful.
Loved it all!
All was perfect: the view, the room, the living room... The house is charming and the personnel is very nice. The breakfast was excellent and the dinner was served in a very warm setting.
When the car park in front of the hotel is full, there is an extra car park but this one is small and not very convenient to manœuvre
Staff were excellent, breakfast was exceptional, location is beautiful. We ate in town so cannot rate the restaurant.
Our room was at the back of the property and during the day there was annoying music playing either from a neighbouring property or from below in the hotel
Exceptional location, service, with friendly welcoming staff who went above and beyond to make sure we enjoyed our time in New Zealand. Everything was immaculate and so well done. Getting to pet the ponies and sheep and donkeys while enjoying the beautiful view of the lake was a bonus!
Views are incredible, location is super convenient, staff are very friendly and professional, ingredients
Staff was wonderful, the breakfast was made to order with lots of extras. We had dinner there one evening and it inwas superb with a lovely wine list. Cannot beat the views. Recommend booking a massage!
Nice location on the lake not far from attractions in and near Rotorua. Excellent staff and restaurant. Able to charge EV at property.
Excellent location and felt very special having our own little room for an excellent dinner. All of the staff were very friendly and helpful
Some of the decor was a little dated - but still very comfy
