- The food was outstanding.
- This hotel had very beautiful, lush grounds that were very well cared for. The hotel room, all are sites, have beautiful views and are very large and comfortable. The beach is very calm. The two evening bartenders in La Joya were the best!!
- The staff at this hotel is 5 star. Every employee we interacted with friendly and helpful. We had a couple requests and one maintenance issue that was addressed promptly. The property was spotless. The beach is clean and groomed.
Cons -
- We had an unfortunate incident during our stay. The room above ours had a serious leak and it literally flooded the bathroom. It was late at night and our room was switched but it was an inconvenience to pack our belongings and go elsewhere that night.
- The swim up bar staff were not all that friendly. Few options for dinner if no reservations, very frustrating.
- The room lady out of 3 days at the hotel did not clean the room only once

The food was outstanding.
We had an unfortunate incident during our stay. The room above ours had a serious leak and it literally flooded the bathroom. It was late at night and our room was switched but it was an inconvenience to pack our belongings and go elsewhere that night.

Our last full day a large conference group checked in and the resort was very busy and common areas were crowded.
