Pros +
- Pet friendly
- It was close to my point of interest and the staff was friendly.
- Very clean, quiet, family/staff is very friendly, love the big bathroom and it has a fan. A lot of more expensive hotels in Gettysburg don’t have a bathroom fan. The fresh coffee and small breakfast selection was perfect. I don’t need a big breakfast.
Cons -
- I booked this place because of the location, price, and them being pet friendly. When I booked there was no instruction on what to do if you had pets. I added this as a note in my reservation so they would be aware. I also called right after making my reservation and asked what I needed to do, if anything. They told me about the additional fee but said that was it. I got an email saying they had confirmed my request which I assumed was my comment about having two dogs with me. Fast forward to the trip. I arrive at 10:30. No one responds to knocks, doorbell, or the phone number that was posted on the door for if the door was locked. After 12 minutes someone finally opened the door. We check in and they ask me about pets and I say I have two dogs which was mentioned in the reservation. They seemed to have no clue. Then told me the room they had ready wasn’t pet friendly. So I had to ask them if there was a pet friendly room. They did switch us. As soon as we walked in the door there was a couple dead bugs. Room overall looked unfinished. Walls looked like they were in the process of being painted, lamp was held together by masking tape, stained sheets, uncomfortable beds, horrible water pressure. We were on the first floor and at 5am the people above us woke up. It sounded like they were just pacing back and the ceiling legitimately sounded like it was going to cave in. Floors were linoleum or laminate. No rugs. Dogs had a really hard time walking around. Check out was fine but I did notice a new $102 charge on my credit card from them that I’ll now be disputing.
- The room had cheap fake-wood flooring - I don't care for it. The walls had damage where the furniture rubbed and the sink a stain. There was hair stuck to the shower stall. The towels while clean were stained. Finally, the TV selection was about 4 channels that were not for shopping.
- Not a bid deal, but local tv stations were not available. It’s nice to watch local channels. NBC, ABC, and CBS were not available.

Cleanliness lacking in meeting expectation. Specifically bathroom stool not clean, shower curtain needed changing, shower head clogged, and towels were almost thread bare.
