Pros +
- We stayed there before Thanksgiving on 2025.The views, architecture and pools are 10/10. There are 2 hot tubs and 3 pools. It may be not so spacious during holidays, but we stayed before the Tanksgiving, there were not so many people. The place is gorgeous.Service(hotel personnel) was great.Renovated room was nice, we really liked our room! There were a lot of towels, nice robes, steamer, good selections of tea/coffe/hot chocolate.Overall, I think it is a great option for senior people/families with kids. If you want something more interesting that pools+nice service+a few fixed options for dining, just do not choose resourt in general (go to Rincon instead). I would give this place 5/5 if food was better.
- Everything was nice and clean at the time we arrived. Even though the wing is under construction, the staff helped us to find our room.
- The location was ideal for other scenic adventures and the beach was stunning!
Cons -
- Food/Reastaurants are 5/10. It was the main problem for us. Unless you are ready to drive 15 minutes , you have to eat there. The restaurants were boring, with european/american food mostly. We liked the roots place at the first floor (sometimes you need to make a reservation for this one), but all other places were not great. The Breakfast was worse than in a 3-star holiday inn, very disapointing ( Fruits, pankaces, ham, pastries -- everything did not taste great). 5'o clock restaurant had Macdonalds-quality food at about 30$ per person, and long wait time.Prices are fine, as long as you compare with other resourt in the US. There are service fees which we were aware of. Parking fee is about 16$ per day (we just ubered from SJ for 40$), breakfast is 24$ per person. The gift shop sells everything twice more expensive than in a regular supermarket. It does not sound nice, but it is not as bad as on other 4 or 5 start hotels on the island.
- To get to our room with bags was long mace and directions were not clear.
- The cost of food was a lot.
