    Pros +

    • Staff and their efforts to help with any questions you have. Also location of the hotel with bus stop just few meters from hotel door . Parking is free so you can leave your car and take public transport to Achen (we were visiting Xmas markets).. Rooms need upgrade and so do beds but it was good for 2 nights.
    • Property had old and modern elements. Mostly older characteristics- narrow door ways, winding steep stairways, lots of little steps up and down from room to room. But modern patio, and bathrooms.
    • I enjoyed the Historical mood of the establishment, the comparable dining experience. Plush outdoor seating. The servers were bilingual and enormously friendly to a foreigner.

    Cons -

    • Property on a busy main road, traffic continued all night. No elevator, stairs only.
    • Nothing to mention
    • The WiFi was poor. The heat did not work during the night in the room or in the bathroom. There are no USB ports in the room. You are a 20 Euro Uber ride away from the center city (my choice to be far away.) 13 Euro for breakfast was quite expensive for what was offered.

Cozy atmosphere, nice restaurant, authentic old building

    Nothing to mention

The staff was super nice. The gentleman at the reception kindly explained everything to us, gave nice tips and called when the cleaning team found my blanket that I forgot to take with me. (We came back for it and had no problems getting it back). The hotel is old-school but in a nice way. It was was clean. The beds were a bit too soft for me and the location is good if you have a car. If not I recommend taking a bus to the city center. Overall my family and I had a very pleasant stay.

Nice small hotel. Comfortable rooms, although not sound proof, since it's an old building. The people next door were so loud, we were woken up several times during the last night of our stay. Breakfast was good. Great location, 10 minutes drive to the city center.

Unfortunately we had a horrible experience. The room stank like sewage because of some busted pipes - what is worse - the owners cum caretakers are completely and utterly non apologetic about renting out such rooms to travelers. We unfortunately arrived late at night and were planning to leave early so we tolerated it - but honestly appalling customer service and ownership… very average rooms even otherwise. They advertise themselves as a hotel with electric chargers - in reality these are government chargers behind the hotel and the staff have no clue and no inclination to know how they work. I cannot in good faith recommend staying here. We wish we had booked the van der valk just down the road..

The staff was wonderful - anything you requested they were able to offer or accommodate you immediately. The room was immaculate. The room was spacious. It was very quiet to get a good night's sleep. The bed was comfortable.

The WiFi was poor. The heat did not work during the night in the room or in the bathroom. There are no USB ports in the room. You are a 20 Euro Uber ride away from the center city (my choice to be far away.) 13 Euro for breakfast was quite expensive for what was offered.

It was Really Nice, the rooms were really good, enough space and also really clean. Also you can park easy just by the door.

Cozy. High quality. One of the owners checked us in and we saw him later in the restaurant. Very pleasant and entertaining guy.

Good location, easy to reach the town by bus, spotless and warm. Cofee is the best I ever had?

    Nothing to dislike

Location. Close to Maastricht centrum with free parking. Our room was in the back and not facing the busy road in front.

Great location just outside of Maastricht, easy off road parking with option to park motorbikes for free in a secure garage.Lovely large room & modern bathroom with comfortable bed.Fabulous breakfast & friendly host.

Unfortunately the shower door leaks water.Lots of road traffic noise when windows are open as our room this time was located at the front of the property. Will request a room located at the rear next time.

    Close Maasstricht

Old, dated, smelly, no air conditioning and very limited toiletries provided.

    8DavePosted on: 8-21-2024

Very comfortable cozy hotel with bar and restaurant.Easy to reach city by bus.

Rooms at the front a little noisy as it's on a main road. A kettle in the room would be useful.

    8StricklerPosted on: 8-16-2024

My family and I really liked the privacy of the room, cleanliness, and free parking.

The room was a bit warm and stuffy but they had a plug in fan for us to use and it worked well.

    5ToniPosted on: 8-12-2024

The location is great - close to the city, surrounded by a green field, very peaceful.

It lacks Air-conditioning, because of that the room was very hot, so we had to keep the windows open and have some mosquitos and other bugs in. The room was on a busy road and quite noisy during night time. Not quite clean too.

    10AdriPosted on: 7-12-2024

The hotel was beautiful. It looks if it was done up recently. 10 out of 10 for cleanliness. The personell was very friendly and helpful. Exceptional service and assistance to transport our family to the Vrijthof and collecting us after the Andre Rui concert. We can really recommend this hotel.

    9RichardPosted on: 6-28-2024

Friendly welcome and a comfortable room. We enjoyed the bar for a nightcap and the optional breakfast in the morning. We asked for information about buses into the city, there was a temporary replacement route, the staff kindly ensured we had the right info. Maastricht is lovely, we greatly enjoyed our evening in the city. Free parking at the hotel and good WiFi.

Hotel restaurant closed due to staff shortages, not a big issue, but check if you are relying on it.
