Pros +
- Very good breakfast
- The view from the sea view room was lovely. The room was clean and access down to the beach was great.Lovely grounds though unable to fully enjoy to bad weather.
- Property was lovely and location.
Cons -
- Dinner was expensive and not very large portions
- We stayed during a storm which added a little pressure to hotel. The increased wind meant there was a little breeze and chill in the room from round the window frames. A call to reception and they were able to bring up a heater. Also heard a roof tile sliding off the roof at 3am.
- We were in the slate cottage, studio was nice on arrival but walking to the main building g for meals it was dark and only one light which didn’t help and no light across the car park to the main building. We had no heating or hot water from Wednesday late afternoon until late evening Thursday evening - no hot water until the next morning. Our studio wasn’t cleaned or replenished the whole time there and when we asked for a toilet roll the receptionist wasn’t helpful - so we bought some. When we raised the no cleaning when we paid they said if we wanted a clean we should have left a sheep outside the door but the same receptionist who took us to the room didn’t tell us that and there were no signs in the room. On Tuesday evening there was water coming through the roof in the restaurant and it was freezing an elderly couple were shivering in the corner.

Loved this hotel,, Location perfect for us along with sea view from lovely room. Beach just down the lane in front Very good Breakfast too .. and nice little indoor pool, which is pre booked in advance for each room.. we will go back...
3 course meal too overpriced for what you get.Website and board outside mentions lunches, however not out of season. This should be made clearer for customers after a long drive, hut down the lane not ideal in pouring rain , so need to bring own food for the kitchenette in room or drive back out again..Pool room excessively hot
Great location, staff excellent, facilities good including pool and food very good as well!
I like the location of the Hotel near the beach and its very quiet. I like the standard of accommodation. The Breakfast is plentiful. Plenty of parking and the rooms are comfortable. I've stayed here before and i like the heated indoor pool.
Some of the bathroom fittings could have done with attention, the shower hose rail was loose, the wooden toilet seat was cracked and should be replaced, the bottom seal on the shower screen was worn and needed replacing and the sink was slow to drain indicative of sludge build up. The bed pillows were quiet flat and in need of replacing, but the bed was very comfortable.
Most of the staff were welcoming and friendly, food was good, very clean and room and view amazing.
The service at breakfast on the first day and no-one there when we arrived at reception
Breakfast was excellent nice choice good quality ingredients, the location was beautiful and rooms well equipped and beautifully done.
The hotel is lovely, the location is wonderful. The almost private beach is great. The pool is great and allocating it exclusively each session is very good. Our room was beautiful BUT a thicker duvet would have helped as the room was a little cold even with the heating on max.
The room was chilly regardless of the heating, but this was our only niggle - Everything else was wonderful. A great place to go.
The Rosevine is well decorated and in a great position- staff were friendly and helpful and the food was good - the pool could do with a bit of a spruce up but it was warm and the individual slots meant no one else shared the pool with you- that was amazing but maybe that can only happen when the hotel is quiet -I dont know
Our room linked to another room via a connecting door- there was no soundproofing and we could hear every thing the guests in the connecting room were saying- thank dog there were no children or party animals in there as it would have been a nightmare
Fabulous hotel with the SW Coast Path at the bottom of the garden and a brief walk to The Hidden Hut From the minute we arrived and saw the view and were welcomed by such cheerful staff we knew we had made the right choice. We had a very comfortable large sea view room with balcony and when we opened the patio doors could hear the crashing of the waves and breathe the fresh sea air. We liked how you book exclusive use of the warm swimming pool. The dining room also has panoramic sea views from every table. Excellent choice for a 2 night winter break.
Nothing it was perfect.
Great sized room with kitchenette. Very comfortable and well equipped.Lovely decor with nice little touches here and there.Loved having the private pool session.Very friendly and helpful staff.
I liked the location and staff and food was superb. The accomodation was lovely.
A bit tired , could do with a lick of paint in some areas.
Exceptional staff, very attentive and accommodating, beautiful room with a sealed in garden area for our little lady (dog)Our evening meal was truly mouth watering delicious and the presentation was fabulous, we were so happy we decided to stay in for our meal, we sat in the lounge and had coffee after our meal, which was so relaxing, then back to our Studio for an undisturbed nights sleep.
Truly.... Nothing....
Lovely big room with wooden floor and enclosed patio garden outside which was perfect for our small dog.The room also had a kitchen area with a fridge and microwave.
We had an evening meal which was disappointing average with small portions and expensive for what it was.On a good note the sticky toffee pudding was AMAZING!
The studio room with the garden was perfect for us and our dogs, the view at breakfast was stunning.
Breakfast buffet wasn’t maintained regularly enough.
Perfect location with quick access to the beach. Wonderfully comfy room with extras like the kitchenette and sofa that made things extra comfortable. Great breakfast!
We liked it all!
The look and feel
The restaurant was closed and wasn’t helped in finding somewhere else to eat as it was a rural location
Great location, great breakfast, lovely staff. Room had great facilities and size!
The location and the staff were absolutely amazing
I was disappointed with the standard of food in the restaurant.
