Madrid Marriott Auditorium Hotel & Conference Center

I chose it because it was close to the airport and I had a 6 am flight to get to

The corresponding drawback was that it was distant from central Madrid

The front desk was not polite and had an attitude + false advertising about breakfast included + shuttle service was not frequent and crowded too many people for a small bus.

Proximity to airport

The staff at the front desk is very efficient, friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean and solid for a good nights sleep.

The restaurants at the hotel can get quite crowded if the hotel is full. In our case they even turned us away due to no more open tables that evening. To my taste the rooms feel quite soulless. While everything is nice, clean and comfortable it also feels like a very efficient and distanced place. Some colours our decoration would give the rooms a more cozy feeling in my opinion.The location close to the airport and the IFEMA Madrid is great if you attend a conference there or have a layover at the airport.If you want to visit the city, better chose a hotel more central to avoid long commutes.

The third bed in the room was hard like a couch. Not soft like a bed.

It has the best and largest breakfast I have ever seen in a hotel. That’s in about 55 years of traveling.The staff are extremely courteous and helpful

It is so popular that I could only book one day of the three I need to be in Madrid. They are, however, looking into if there is a cancellation so I might not have to move today..

Close to the airport

No food options during the day as restaurant/ bar only opens at 7PM. So had to order room service without feeling like being in my room

Great service, both front desk and restaurant staff were amazing. Also great that there was a free shuttle to IFEMA and to the Airport.

Breakfast could offer a bit more fruits variety

Good size bedroom and comfy bed. All the staff were very helpful. Even got an upgrade.

Breakfast choice was a bit lacking for a hotel of this standard. Loads of processed wheat and sugar based foods and not enough green or organic alternatives.

The room was super clean and big. The coffee was excellent and service too.

Air conditioning did not work well in 1 room and not at all in the other. Very uncomfortable to sleep

Zero when well. I had stayed here before and it was outstanding.The Hotel does look about 90% the same but as soon as I checked in (pre-paid with booking.com) it went to: We are not going back.

1. My credit card was ran and scamed for the same as the pre-paid amount. My bank reversed the charge the called it fraud.2. The room was too cold and did not warm up till the time we left/checked out.3. The Hotel blamed, Booking.comThe first check by the bank showed a gas station put the charge. My billing statement for the charge and removal of showed Marroitt International Hotel.4. The shuttel service is not a sure thing: It is wait with the mod to board with no pre-listing of passenders.We took a TAXI as; it was frezzing and a mod outside and inside plus the bus was too small even for both MOB's.

Spacious room.

The rooms are very badly isolated; and the hotel is extremely noisy. I stayed only for 1 night; and i was woken by the house maid at 8:30 a.m. The reception staff are extremely unfriendly; and they didn't even do an effort to tell us about the hotel facilities.
