Marriott Stanton South Beach

Location was good. Although south beach overall was a little underwater

Beautiful location and views, clean and comfortable hotel, staff was very helpful and polite, especially valet staff. The beach location is unbeatable and the pools were also nice. Really enjoyed this property and would go back there some day if the rate on booking.com was decent.

It cost extra, about $30+ to rent an umbrella on the beach each day despite the resort fee. The two chairs were complimentary, but sitting in the sun with no sun cover is unreasonable and unsafe. I believe the umbrella should have included with the two chairs, if for just two people. Service charges on food and drinks were also excessive when already paying a resort fee. The part that was perhaps most disappointing was the staff that tried to pull you into a room to discuss enrolling in the Marriott Bonvoy membership. They were really annoying and disruptive. They made you feel very pressured and tried to entice you with a gift card, supposed points and benefits, and cocktails - but really they just interrupted you and tried to prevent you from saying no and walking away. I would have expected better from the Marriott brand, it felt like a scam and like they were trying to hustle us. We were on vacation and were busy, had plans for reservations, activities, excursions, etc. If they wanted people to sign up it needs to be less aggressive - it just made me reluctant to even consider.

Location is great. Oceanfront, South of Fifth so not as crazy.

Only one elevator worked our entire stay and it appeared that it wasn’t even being worked on. It was a ten minute process to use the elevator, most of the time it was too full to get on.

We loved our stay. Very friendly stuff , good restaurants . Very clean rooms. Comfy beds.

Two things that ware really annoying was that one of the two elevators was down and you have to wait quite long to get to your floor up or down to the lobby , And another reason was that one of the pools was closed. Even though the size of the pool is just not enough to serve the hotel.

Location is perfect. Staff is amicable and prompt to assist.

It only has one elevator in service. Last time we went to the hotel it was broken as well, that makes very difficult to reach the rooms. My brother has an ankle lesion and couldn’t stand for the long time the elevator takes to arrive since there are so many clients waiting for the only one that is available.The table on the room we reserved was broken, we reported it but it was never replaced.One of the pools was closed for service during our complete stay.

All staff members were welcoming, friendly and helpful.

Dark tile floors in the room might not show dirt but when they aren’t cleaned fully, the dirt sticks to your feet and when you get into bed, it tracks into the bed/sheets.
