Marriott Phoenix Resort Tempe at The Buttes

This property has a unique layout set into a hill and interesting architectural design, but the location next to the interstate is unfortunate. Top of the Rock restaurant was good and also a beautiful design.

It was a bit noisy, especially near doorways to each corridor. The distance to farther flung rooms should be noted at check-in! The colleague I was traveling with had a sprained ankle and did not discover how far away their room was until it was too late.

Beautiful hotel! Nice amenities (if they’re working)

The water slide was closed Friday & Saturday. I spoke to the pool manager and I was assured on Friday that it would be open on Saturday, but it was not. We stayed in this hotel a year ago and had issues then the slide wasn’t operating at posted times

There were no ties for the robes.

Waitress were fantastic

Room was outdated, bed was worn , toilet would not flush properly

Beautiful location

The sheets on the bed had black stuff on them my daughter called down to the front office security came up took pictures of the bed took the dirty sheets and gave her a set of clean sheets Then left her to make her own bed.

It was right off the freeway. There was not very many people in the pool area.

That it was close to my son and then when I left your hotel and didn¿t stay there at all I wasn¿t too far from a couch at my sons apartment!!!

I did not feel safe at this hotel!!!!!! I did not even stay there!!!!!!! Left after having to change to two different rooms!!

Very convenient location and beautiful pool settimg

Room seems outdated and old. Cabinet was broken very long walk to room. Charge my card twice and now have to wait for a refund. Would not recommend this place to anyone

The lication was beautiful.

Huge price, average room with a dank smell, mildew in shower, unsupervized screaming children in pool and hit tubs, half hot tubs not working, one tub hadnt been cleaned, dirt, rocks and tree branch inside. Front desk less than helpful.

Too many stairs inconvenience had room on third level no elevator to access that level 3 flights of stairs terrible was giving a outdated room not worth the price

The pool

Upon arrival i was told half the pool was closed for a wedding. Music blaring until 1030pm Drug addict server couldnt get anything right and overcharged my room tab by 200 dollars. Very disappointing. Wont be returning. Was our go to anniversary.

It was clean, quiet, room service provided excellent service, perfect breakfast.

Ice machine was out and vending machine was out. At our entrance by elevators there were 3-4 people drinking. There was no issue personally but it does take away from experience and feeling of safety.

I liked that it was surrounded by mountain and got a wonderful view

hallway smelled, beds barely fit 2 adults, pillows too soft-sunk down like nothing under head, breakfast buffet WAY overpriced!!!! Had to pay to park car?!?! front desk asked how our stay was, but didn't say a word to even acknowledge our bad experience!

The breakfast was great

We paid for a room with a resort view.... no view except of a walking path and a dirt mound.

Hotel was beautiful, staff friendly, location was great for us.

the air conditioning unit was very noisy in our unit, woke us up throughout the night

Love the location and that it is build into the mountain. Very nice scenery and ambiance.

Someone down our hallway was smoking pot. The smell was very strong and started coming into the room. The hotel staff was made aware, they offered to switch our room and security did come down to try and locate the problem.

Great place. Staff will do anything to help and is very accommodating to any request. It was a busy weekend and I did not expect the amount of personal interaction with the staff. They did anything they could to make my Moms stay Great no matter how many?

Just one: Elevators were extremely slow and dinner a bit $$ but great food.

Way more than 3.5 stars! Awesome setting! Convenient nearby stores and shopping, yet it feels like you're more secluded. Felt more like a 4 star resort. Pool facilities are amazing! views are awesome, grounds are beautiful, very helpful staff.

Rooms are quite a distance from the lobby, so a lot of walking involved to get around. Food in the restaurant was only so so, wifi is not free, or even reasonably priced.
