This hotel offers spacious rooms, some with separate seating areas, and an in-house fitness center. The Melrose Hotel is near Georgetown, less than one mile from the White House. Each of the hotel’s rooms offers upholstered seating, ironing facilities and free cable TV. There are bathrobes for guest use, and free newspapers delivered daily. Along with the fitness center, the Melrose Hotel has a business center for guest use. Meals are available in the hotel’s Jardenea restaurant, while the on-site bar, The Lounge, serves appetizers and a variety of cocktails and martinis. Less than 3 blocks from a Washington Metro public transport station, the hotel one mile from both the Lincoln Memorial and the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts.

- well located and staff helpful and friendly
- Location and cleanliness.
- This is a renovated historic hotel in the heart of Georgetown near the Metro station and in a neighborhood with shops and restaurants. The hotel has an excellent restaurant as well. This is one of my favorite places to stay in Washington.
Cons -
- Bathroom needed updating and recalking
- Our air did not work but thankfully we had windows that opened. We also were charged a $33 daily fee which I understand but they only offered to clean our room on the 3rd day.
