Was an excellent hotel, especially for the price and location

The pillows and the lights in the rooms. The pillows were very thin and lumpy. And they make incandescent LED bulbs now, the rooms all feeling like an office space because of the light tone was sad.

The staff was amazing from the receptionists, to house keeping, to breakfast attendents, to the security guards. We were especially grateful for Chris in the breakfast room who happily cleaned up after our daughter got sick in the breakfast area, no qualms just friendly service. The hotel was very unique, and some of the buildings were almost 200 years old! Definitely a great snapshot of New Orleans architecture. There is parking available on property for an additional cost however the street right next to the hotel had plenty of free spaces and was completely safe to park on. It was a great location right on the streetcar line and 5-15 minute drive from most parts of the city, so whatever you're in town for you can get there easily from this hotel.

Some of the issues came from the buildings being old but I feel like you can't have the charm of old New Orleans without maintenance issues pertaining to 100+ year old buildings. There were some things like stray hair in the bathroom but being in hospitality myself I know that hair seems to stay around even after a thorough cleaning.

My room was very comfortable and had everything I needed. The location was perfect and the pool area was nice, especially on hot days.

There was an incident where a cleaner apparently broke a lamp while I was out, which I was expected to pay for. There was no possibility of borrowing a bowl and some cutlery for reheating things in the supplied microwave.

The property grounds were very clean. The staff were all friendly and accommodating. The room was spacious and clean. Coffee is available at all times.

I had a nice time there, when I arrived the staff was very nice, the room attendants came giving us towels after we requested it, of course it took a while since they are busy, the clerk was sweet we had a nice conversation about the hotel. When we arrived the room was very clean, the AC was off so we turned it on and it took a while to cool the room down but once it was working it worked very nicely. The fridge does work as well but they turn it off, so when you arrive there is a knob inside the fridge on the top, just turn it up. The tv did work too, the bathroom was clean but it did start leaking a bit but it stopped leaking. It didn’t smell bad, and the beds were pretty high up but very comfortable. The room attendants came and cleaned our room, but we requested for them to not clean it for the rest of the stay, they were also very sweet and helpful.The hotel is also very beautiful, it is a good spot for pictures, like fountain murals. There is a pool and a hot tub, it was clean and very nice. they do charge for parking but it is a must have, since you shouldn’t park I know we cars out in the street in a place we don’t know.It’s a very good spot the streetcar stops in front of the hotel, then there are plenty of good restaurants around it and fast food spots, it is a good spot. I was worried when I saw the reviews but it was a good experience and a nice hotel.

Had a pool, water and ice available. Plenty of parking available. Front of house staff super helpful, we had an issue with the first room and we were moved immediately!

Friendly and helpful staff. Clean rooms. Good pool. Tramline outside into city ($3 ride all day) Good parking. Places nearby to eat and drink. Free coffee.

Only thing to be aware of, and it didn't bother us, is there's a Wendy's next door.

The hotel itself is beautiful! The rooms were very nice and the beds were comfortable. The staff was always very pleasant and they have property cats! As my friends and I were leaving New Orleans, we were making plans to go back and stay at the Maison.

Location is excellent. Streetcars go right in front of the hotel. Good value for money. Good firm beds. Big rooms. Plus for the small pool area.

Staff is not too friendly especially at check in desk. If you stay multiple days the room cleaning is not good. They didnt fill in the soap and towels every day. I saw a huge cockroach in my room. The cleaning staff left their trash bag in my luggage! And they would not compendate anything for the cleaning being very bad.
