Hilton Houston Plaza/Medical Center

Fantastic hotel. The King suite was great. Very clean! Staff were excellent, very professional, helpful and friendly. Location was great.

The room was very good and clean. The staff were helpful, professional and very nice. We liked the location, as well as the shuttle service every 1/2 an hour to the medical center.

The entertainment, there were movies on demand but the TVs weren’t smart. Therefore, it was impossible to get Netflix or any other app.

Beautiful, upscale hotel with great amenities. The restaurant, Herb N Kitchen, was so good. There was a nice lounge forthose who wanted cocktails. A nice breakfast buffet, not included, but there if you want it. Workout room, as well. They have a rooftop area where they serve drinks and small bites on certain nights. Our room was comfortable, clean, and had what we needed. We stayed there to be close to a hospital for my surgery, and they have a shuttle that leaves every 30 minutes. They brought us back to the hotel afterward.. All staff we encountered were very courteous.

There wasn't anything we didn't like, but maybe bring your own pillow if you need fluffy.

My "room" was actually a "suite". I appreciated the extra space, even as a solo traveler. The bed was extrememly comfy and I was pleased with the service; especially the ice in a bag they supplied whenever it was needed! The location was perfect for where I went in town; access to the freeway was quick and easy and most everything was 20 mins away or less. The staff was always smiling and quick with a "hello", or "good morning", or "have a nice night" whenever I saw them. I appreciate the use of bulk body wash, shampoo & conditioner instead of the personal plastic bottles; a great eco move for the planet. I also liked the handle in the shower for safety. I felt very safe in the parking garage; it was well lit at night.

I did find the space a little dark; updated lighting especially around the sink would be great (an LED lighted mirror). And updated LED bulbs in the lamps would brighten the space. I was disappointed there wasn't a microwave in the room. The iron in my room was faulty; it leaked water when I attempted to steam iron my dress. I would have called down for a replacement but I didn't have time; I made due with a damp towel. Lastly, my floor wasn't vacuumed well. I picked up a few small items upon my arrival. These were just little things. Nothing to spoil my stay.

The room and bathroom were very spacious and the bed was comfortable. There was a nice cafeteria at the lobby and I was able to go to the fitness center a few times. The people at the front desk were super nice and helpful.

The housekeeping were somewhat rude, service was very inconsistent (which makes it hard to plan not being in the room), and we had to remind them a few times to leave us towels. Also, at no point during our 10-day stay did both elevators work. Going up and down was extremely slow.

Staff is nice and welcoming. The location of the property is amazing! Hidden and quiet yet everything is such a close drive and so peaceful! I think this hotel is honestly a hidden gem for a nice cozy stay in Houston!

Paying for parking. Although it is very convenient to have a parking garage attached to the hotel I just wish it was included in the stay! Instead of having to pay every time we go out and come back in.
