A great place to stay! The cottage is cozy and lovely, with beautiful views and plenty to do in the area. The hosts were very friendly and helped with everything we needed.
We stayed in a cottage house and it was very cozy. It was spaced far enough from the other cottages to have privacy but the toilets and showers were still close enough.

We had a wonderful stay! The hostess was kind, welcoming, and went out of her way to help us. The cabin was cozy, spotless, and felt like home. Highly recommended!
We had a wonderful stay in this very cozy house., Despite the small size it has everything you need. The hosts are very hospitable, everything is clean, and the beds are very comfortable.
The cottage was big, well decorated and organized. We could have dinner easily and arrive late. The host was very nice and helpful. The location is great (not too much tourists there). Very good value for money
Jóhanna and her family have built a special place right outside of Egilstaðir. It is easy to get to, and the second you arrive you feel like you are in a forest getaway. The forest is beautiful with little birds, the campsite and cabins are private and there are great hiking opportunities and horseback riding. Jóhanna is very friendly and helpful and knowledgeable about the area and history. I cannot recommend this authentic Icelandic forest cabin experience enough!
Great cottage. Clean, fully equipped and beautiful nature around. We had lovely time there. I would visit again one day.
A cozy and quaint little cabin that had everything we needed for a comfortable 2 night stay. Slightly off the beaten path, but with gorgeous views.
Great location, friendly host and comfortable bed. Our cottage had everything we needed. It was cozy, clean and quiet. The outside seating and sofa were nice to relax on.
Nothing important. The door to the bath needs a bit of adjustment.
All was just PERFECT! Spent here 2 nights - no one wanted to leave especially kids!… asked to stay for more…Great quiet location, VERY cosy bungalow, fully equipped more than enough for family of 5.Super-hospitality from owners side. In addition to all, arranged for us evening horse ride - all enjoyed a lot…Highly-highly recommended for a family
Spacious room and bathroom, plenty of hot water and access to small kitchen. However, there is no microwave, which could have been great. I don't know why it is designed that you can not bring your car to the cottage as there is space and it will be very helpful for the guests, especially in inclement weather. Mind it that Google takes you much longer route, adding 30 to 40 minutes so I asked the owner/caretaker to let the future guests know where to make the turn, and might want to put some signs.
Microwave in the units, and putting more hooks to hang stuff in the bathroom as bathroom has tons of space.
We watched the northern lights very well during the two nights we stayed here. The interior of the house is very comfortable. The bed is very comfortable. And the farm was very enjoyable. It could be much more enjoyable for a long-term stay.
Location at the edge of the woods, small and very cozy.
In most of the places in Iceland we barely met the host, but it is understandable their privacy and ours, probably a longer stay will have facilitate interaction.
Great location with good amenities, nice horses and cute and playful dog, barbecue in front of each cottage
There was no coffee machine, nice touch with the instant coffee in house though. Cottage is on the smaller side
Kind friendly host, wonderful and quaint space, privacy from other cottages with trees that have grown since the photos on bookings.com were taken. Private bathroom, shower, kitchenette, BBQ outside, a little porch and chairs for you, a table inside to eat around. Fantastic, would recommend.
Lovely quiet place in the middle of the mountains. Nice and comfortable, with all facilities you might need.
Lovely and well furnished cottages
Bathrooms dirty. It seems they weren’t cleaned as often as anyone would expect.
Cute cabin to ourselves. The bathroom and shower were very close. Lovely stay in the woods.
