Pros +
- I liked the location and the size of the resort. Restaurants were pretty good on site as well. Resort offers a lot of extras as well.
- Love all the facilities and activities offered on Labor Day weekend
- The location is amazing and convenient to Bastrop.
Cons -
- Had a lot of trouble with our stay. They kept telling me that I had not paid for the 2 nights and I needed to pay again. When we arrived, we were not given keys to our room due to this, and it took over an hour to get into our room. This was a getaway for my wife and I that just got married on 10/25. When we went to check out, we had multiple problems again with them saying we owed for the 2 nights. Also, we encountered 2 large cockroaches in our room. (Not water bugs)
- We've stayed at this Property numerous times in the past and were always pleased. This stay was different. The pool area was dirty with trash everywhere, the pool was murky, slide wasn't open, deflated floats everywhere, no clean pool towels. We couldn't get a dinner reservation whatsoever, the safe was broken, housekeeping didn't show up and TV didn't work. There were s'mores one night with a crazy long line that my 10 year old daughter waited in. When we got to the front of the line it was literally 9:02 and the snotty girl working the station said "nope, we shut it down at 9pm". My daughter was devastated (and hungry). We called the front desk and they told us they were short staffed and that "it was end of season"...funny, we paid prime season rates. To top it off, you have to pay anywhere from $25-$45 to park your vehicle, ON top of the expensive rooms and the 'resort fee'. I was totally unimpressed and disappointed.

Property was beautiful, loved the lazy river . Staff at roadhouse Was so helpful, had a party of 14 and they went above and beyond to accommodate us! Also the guy at petting zoo helped us get the longhorn to come up closer to fence to get a picture with it ! Most appreciated!
