The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful.

The drain in the shower was very slow and the room size was small.

Was given a room in which AC/heat was apparently not working and a portable AC unit (exhausted out window) was placed.

Location is great. Within walking distance of music, theater, restaurants, etc.

The room was noisy from the street and hallways¿close to the elevator.

Restaurant and bar was good. Room had great views.

The area had a lot of homeless people that kept to themselves, but my wife did not feel comfortable when we tried to go to a local bar.

Good location within walking distance to various businesses in Berkeley. Room had nice view of SF Bay.

Vehicle parking is expensive and across the street.

The location was great for being close to the Berkely campus. The restaurant bar had a nice seating area that was comfortable to sit in and the staff was friendly.

The room was smaller than I expected and was missing some basic items in the bathroom: bathmat, a second set of towels (for a 2-person reservation) and tissues. The staff acted quickly to bring these items, but the poor execution was disappointing.

No parking, but across the street was a lot that was safe.

Staying overnight in a historical place is always something special. We especially appreciated how accommodating the staff were when we encountered a problem with some amenities. We immediately got a new room where everything worked perfectly well. We could even open one of the historical windows. The location of the hotel is also excellent, two blocks away from Berkeley University and one minute from the next BART station.

Location is very convenient, just a few steps away from the DT Berkeley BART station.The facilities are very pretty and clean and the staff was very nice and helpful.

Great location and staff. Comfortable rooms.

I have a mild dust allergy that isn’t triggered by most hotels’ bedding, but it was really bad starting my 4th night here. The hotel should consider investing in hypoallergenic pillows or pillowcases. They didn’t have either available when I asked, though they staff did what they could and brought me pillows with freshly laundered pillowcases (which didn’t help unfortunately).

The property has a small entrance when we first arrived it was blocked by a transient. The first room 424 the toilet stopped working at 12am and we had to move rooms. The first room was also far from the elevator but it had a nice view. Room service cuts off at 10 pm I think. No free waters . Chris and Derick were awesome

A lot of shops seem to have closed and the place looks less safe than closer to the University.
