- Staying overnight in a historical place is always something special. We especially appreciated how accommodating the staff were when we encountered a problem with some amenities. We immediately got a new room where everything worked perfectly well. We could even open one of the historical windows. The location of the hotel is also excellent, two blocks away from Berkeley University and one minute from the next BART station.

- Was given a water kettle when I asked if the water was safe
Cons -
- nothing since our problems were solved immediately
- Homeless people having fights at 6am in the morning
- Maybe could have toothbrushes in the room as opposed to us having to ask for it
