Marriott Marquis San Diego Marina

We had a very nice view of San Diego Bay & Coronado. Location to Seaport Village, the ferry, USS Midway and the transit. Quiet room and comfy bed; friendly/helpful staff!

Wish there was a shuttle to/from airport and/or SD would finally get light rail to go from the airport! (Parking convenient but pricey (but all cities seems to be).

First of all, the location is great! We went a concert at the Rady Shell, it was within walking distance, GREAT!! The staff who checked us in (Gordon) was very, helpful, patient and professional. We really enjoyed our stay and can't wait to return, although it was a little out of our budget ?

The drop off and getting your car from valet could be better. My suggestion is to use the number 1 lane (closet to the building) strictly for Ubers, taxis, etc. The second lane should be for checking in only, and the next to the last lane should be for picking your vehicle up from valet. And finally the last lane (furthest from the entry way should be a pass through lane ONLY!! Other than that, everything was incredible.

The rooms were clean. Staff were responsive and helpful. Location was good.

The self parking was difficult to find and had limited spots, one day we had to park outside even though we paid for the parking.

SERVICE. Staff were disinterested and unhelpful. There was no concierge! Checking in staff were unhelpful and uninformed about hotel facilities, services or nearby area. In fact appeared very bothered that I asked questions and were keen to move me on. I did not find free coffee in the hotel. There was no kettle in the room, and when I called to request one (twice) it was never delivered. There were no cups for coffee in the room, and again when I called, they were not delivered to the room. Room had no glassware just paper cups (when they remembered to leave them. No complementary water in the room. No tissues in the room. Small details, but it all just added up to the feeling one was not welcomed. There is substantial fee for receiving parcels, we were fortunate that some of the fee was refunded to us because I had an email stating that there was no fee, but really, it is poor hospitality to not offer such service, first for me in US. I will be staying in smaller hotel, offering traditional hospitality in the future. Poor value for money.

I loved the location. Off gaslamp is great because it's quite. And it's next to the water. We had a city and marina view. You can walk to sny where near by. Are take the light rail because it's across the street. This hotel is very convenient and comfortable.

Still a little noisy. And there's a bit of construction going on. And out tv had issues with the color. There was only phone / electrical outlets on one side of our bed. Needs a bit of a redesign.

Loved the location of the hotel, the room with the balcony overlooking the bay, the extras with the resort fee. Overall just an amazing hotel. Can’t wait to return!
